As we have been getting some SLIGHTLY warmer days, i have a rash accross my forehead from sweating in my hat. But I`ve just found a company selling disposable hat liners which are absorbant and stick to the inside of the hat. at the forehead.........Has anyone tried them. Are they any good?

I was just looking a little bit closer at the liners, and they look suspiciously like...........Wait for it.........Panty liners/thin sanitary towels!
so I`ve just nicked one out of the bathroom, and they work a treat. Theres adhesive on the back so they just stick straight on the inner browband of the helmet.

I just hope it doesnt slip down my face during my lesson tomorrow. Ill look like a right div!

Sorry, no advice on hat liners but the thread title CRACKED me up!

ahahahahhhahahaahahhhhh couldnt believe what I read there!!!:eek:
Yes I have used them, got some in the car, they were brilliant for pony club camp all week for my daughter and keep the hat fresher. yes they ar ejust like panty liners.................SWEATY HELMET!!!! mwahahahahahah!!!

I know you can buy a hat deodoriser but have found the Ariat boot deodoriser smells nicer and and is anti bacterial too! Apparently this helps to stop the foam padding from deteriorating.Hope this helps.:)

No! that is just wrong  you can buy stuff from tack shops that will sort your sweaty hat out, I did hear of someone on here that put their hat in the dishwasher to clean it :D

Get yourself a nice thin bandana. It won't be too tight and if it's cotton it should wick away the sweat. Plus you can wash it.... I laughed at the title too :D

Charles Owen do a lovely hat deoderiser, smells lemony fresh!

Ditto on the bandana, i use one all the time in summer, also had a nice grey riding hat with loads of vents which helped and was great with the bandana.

Hahaha this has made my friday at work so much more amusing!! I might opt for the bandana!! Does anyone know if normal deodrant would work in your hat?! Might be a bit cheaper!

Thats right.....and im man enough to admit it. On here anyway. The wings did tickle my nose a bit..

Someone I knew had the same problem, rash got quite bad at one point. Dr gave them some cream and she went out and bought a vented hat and never had that problem again.
