Swedish team up to Anky Panky.

A rule break is a rule break, if the FEI make them, they damn well ought to enforce them.
Their response on twitter was no better than Horse & Hounds.
There is quite certainly more than one picture of Kittel riding rollkur at they Olympic venue. A snapshot in time, it was not.

How very dissapointed i am that it appears from the comments on this thread, HHO are like the fei, and turning a blind eye to Rollkur, makes a mockery of the whole thing .... Very,very sad :(
 
Well, no offence to anyone who contributed to the brat post, I did too, but people do turn a blind eye. The brat thread got more views than this one.

Nevermind. No one noticed. Not even the FEI. Not the Olympics. A dissapointing day for dressage.

I like the "turn your back on rollkur" t-shirt idea. I also think it would be a very effective silent protest at Greenwich, whereas booing could be misinterpreted by the media. It would mean there was no question of what the audience was protesting about. Then the commentators in the countries of offending riders could not explain it away as nationalism or whatever.

They didn't play to the best of their ability. Had they lost their game they would have been against easier teams and it would have been easier for them to get gold. Spectators complained that they were there to see good competitive sports, not dirty tactics. Or at least that's how I understand it.
 
Good grief...

I was watching the judo and a GB competitor was given a penalty for being too passive....funny, you don't think about such things, do you? One assumes you want to win.....and it's shocking that there are those who will deliberately try to bend the rules to make life easier.

What a sad world we live in.

There now seems to be about six different threads on rollkur at the Olympics which probably means it won't feature in Horse and Hound's "top topics" next week but should show how incensed people are by the practice.

I have returned from the land of horse poo and ragwort pulling. Can't believe some people think rollkur is ok... Have you seen the PK thread?
 
I think
the Germans should be banned for introducing rollkur to modern dressage
the Dutch banned for openly practicing it
the Swedish banned for training with the Dutch
the Spanish banned for buying rollkur horses off the Dutch (stick the Germans with that one as well)
the Australians banned for being married to the Swedish
and the British banned for not decrying rollkur

Naturally Olympic team gold should go to the French. "But they only have one qualified rider!" I hear you say - surely though the French should be awarded two scores of 90% each, one for theoretical training claims by a certain well known popular French Master, and one for his website and petitions. Go Team France!
