I picked him up at about 4.30 - so far he has eaten a pigs ear is now half way through a chewy stick and is showing no sign of needing a nap.....

He has a drain in and has to go back on Saturday to have it taken out and then his stitches out a week later. So he is officially confined to barracks in the meantime as he can't even have a collar on due to drain and stitches and definatley no muck heap mountaineering, swimming etc etc

Can't imagine what he will be like after a fortnight of relative inactivity!!

Glad he's OK. They do like to worry us don't they? My rottie had 8 weeks of no exercise and he coped fine, he was only 12 months old and again at 2. They soon get used to it.

Glad it went well.

And he's not the first dog that have forgotten to read the instructions saying that they can be a little feeble after an operation and therefore need to take it a little calm while recovering.
