Ugh, morning all....

Still feeling like poo, but can't afford to not work so off I go in a minute... Hey ho. Hope everyone else who was feeling yuck yesterday is now feeling better!

Hunter trial tomorrow... I'd better be feeling better!!!!

Well it's Friday - start of my weekend!! Off to ride my neddy this morning - avoid housework at all costs then get ready as my brother is getting married tomorrow. Might throw in a walk with my pooches for good measure!! Have a good day y'allll!!!!
 
I felt fine yesterday but feel rotten this morning, do you think i caught this bug off the forum ? My head hurts and i have a sore throat and cough but i still have to have my morning forum fix while sipping my lemsip !.
 
It sounds like you're all still under the weather, I think there's a few things going around at the moment.

It's horrible here - raining, cold and grey. I was in the field this morning with my stable jacket over my head and OHs jacket on me, I looked like a right idiot

), had brill ride last night, jumped again after god knows how long avoiding it and she was brill, no stops, no spooks or anything. We cantered them too and although she rushes and gets flat, I checked her a bit and she came into a lovely collected, bouncy canter and we got a perfect stride and a lovely round jump, brill!

Morning all - still poorly poorly, and like an idiot I have come into work to sit here and do nothing as usual!!

Lunged pony last night and I was impressed at how much he's started to muscle up in the right places - yay!! I will be riding tonight and going back to basics with one pole - fingers crossed her walks over it nicely!

I have come to the conclusion that Sweet FA is bad for diets. Everytime I'm determined to be good and stick to mine, somebody goes on about yummy food.

Have come home from school early. Started feeling migrainey (which is typically getting better now I've had painkillers) and a tad dizzy so thought not worth continuing as the pupils wouldn't get 100% from me. Will have to make up three lessons during the course of the term so can manage that.

*curls up with paracetamol and hot chocolate*
 
i went to see the consultant about my foot - back on crutches and got to have mri

its no fun when you have tonsilitus too so going to curl up on sofa this afternoon and feel sorry for myself ha

I'm visiting my OH in Yorkshire (he's working up here at the mo). I was supposed to have a relaxing Friday before we go riding later this afternoon, but instead I've spent the whole morning working in his hotel room

And HHO wouldn't let me log on until now! Oh, and after days of sunshine it's now raining here and will all through tomorrow too (when we're hacking in the Dales).

well i text last night saying dont worry bout goin into work today...over staffed..it's nice having an extra day but really needed the money to help pay for vets bill and other things.

I have gone and bought my little girl some new feed today, as I noticed this am when I turned her out that although she has two rugs on and isnt clipped she was tucked up..she's a wuss...so on went the lightweight even though it's sunny the chill is enough, so instead of her being on safe and sound - as that was what my boy was on, she is now going on speedibeet - all the shop had, cooked barley and chaff i still need to get her some cod liver oil...and hope that this will be good - sis in law reccomended this feed as she copes best with this, never had a problem with a horse keeping weight on in winter my boy was a good doer....but now it's total change again for me just hope I can keep weight on her, she's lost sooo much muscle where she's been out of work for almost 5months, can't wait to put her on the walker at new yard - which we are moving to on Tuesday...better facilties for her so I can look at bringing her back into work....maybe?

Apart from all this, I have done nothing I'm really enjoying the extra day off.

Will be going to get her some haylage before i go up and get her in, give her a nice groom, wash her face etc etc...poo pick paddock and have a look at the new horsey that arrives today!!

Afternoon all, farrier has just been and my pony has wonky feet, she walks on her outsides and not flat. Phew!!! glad not lammi etc

I am doing alot more roadwork than I used to so probably the reason its showing up now
 
I'm excited for the weekend as I'm spending it cleaning out my stable in preparation for Belle coming in, probably this weekend too. Which means scrubbing buckets, mats and walls, putting down new shavings bed and making haynets, god I love winter sometimes! Can't wait for early mornings, haynets and mucking out, weird I know, but believe me it won't last! Poo picking needs done too, then my house needs a good clean in case we have visitors sunday night

I'm a bit worried about when the really bad weather comes cos I'm not the most confident snow/ice driver and OH doesn't drive so if I'm feeling particularly chicken one day I might have to ask YO to put her out for me. Oh well, just have to force him to learn asap!
 
samstar - good news about her hooves easily sorted with hind shoes if necessary. I had the same with the coblet one year when the fields were to wet to use so we did nothing but road work for about 4 months one winter - she went all footy so had fronts on then she had to have backs on - used to wear the fronts to fag paper thin in about 2 - 3 weeks!! Was pleased when they could come off and go back to being unshod!!

Good news samstar about Star's feet. Had to have shoes put on daughter's horse couple of months ago. It has helped enormously!!

Since the CPL had turned up, I couldn't be bothered to catch them, and though I'd wait until the people had gone! Oh, btw, my mare decided she wanted in with the ponies, so cleared the fence!!

Anyway, they had other ideas, namely nearly terrifying the poor woman from the CPL when they appeared at the yard !!!

Just popped in to say hello and goodbye. Done the beast early.

Grey jeans ,Grape coloured stripey top (teeny stripes) by Sandwich and my favourite shoes from Faith Black with silver studs sounds horrible but I hope I look more Groovy Chick @ 55 than poor old redundant Flibble and dont look as if I spend my whole life head first in the muck heap and Compost bin!!

Back lady came anbd checked Big Lump out today and tweaked a few bits. I looked on in horror as he nearly fell over.

Apparently he'll ne ver be a jumper of any sort because he is too unbalanced. Funny that of a horse who jumped 5 bar gate out of an arena from almost a standstill. I think she caught him unawares and he was nearly asleep.
