I did give the ponies a talking to....did they listen...in a word NO!!!!

Ok so here is the RANT!!

I get home at 3pm today and my sister is walking up the garden path on the phone saying 'Yes, yes - what do you mean?? are you ok? ' etc etc

It is neices school on phone it turns out that eldest neice has been held down and given a kicking by 3 of the boys in her year

- so clearly the balloon goes up in my family as my sister is just about to go to work, my dad is on way to pick up neices, phone dad to say I can pick up other neice if needed and to make sure eldest neice is taken to hospital regardless of what school says. I then get a phone call to go and meet them at hospital - neice is ok just bruised and shocked and some muscle spasm - no sport or riding for at least 2 weeks (is really upset as have just got horse on trial

). Have bought all necessary drugs etc and took her home. Then caught up with my dad etc Headmistress is going mental and dealing with on Monday - calling Police etc etc.

Was hoping I would get to school to get her and the little feckers were still there as I have my steel toecaps and would happily give them a taste of their medicine.

Then to finish it all off loan horses owner came to ride and did an unoffical dismount in middle of our yard and landed on her face and knocked herself out - has been taken to hospital over night.

Wine anyone???????????????

OMG!!!!! What an awful thing to happen to your niece!!!

Please tell her that we hope she is better soon, and that these people will be dealt with!!

Also, tell her not to think that it has anything to do with her, bullies just pick on anyone, it's not her fault!!

Poor loan horse owner, that must have been nasty, hope she is better soon too!!

Definitely large glasses all round tonight!!!

Ok where do i start with Toby. good news is that he doesn't have any tumors etc. diagnosis is Metabolic acidosis secondary to excessive hindgut fermentation. basicly he is a very lucky boy and is now got is intolerant to carbohydrates. and as i result is on a carb free diet for the rest of his life. feeding this boy is going to be a challenge. this has been caused by the lack of food while he was on loan but that is another story

Tikino, I'm glad you have got to the bottom with what is wrong - can he lead a normal life if his diet is sorted?

You do - If you look on the website I think you save about £4 - I think you buy them online up to about a week before.

its to early to say if the treatment will work on its own he will be very closely monitored and back in the clinic in 6 weeks for the full lot of tests again
