Morning all.

It was pouring here last night so didn't get to ride, but I'm hacking out on sat and sun and then I have a lesson on Monday, although the forecast is for heavy rain all day, hope it's wrong

I've been wrapping xmas pressies this morning. Luckily quite a lot of people want money so that's really easy.

Goin docs at ten as have had this stupid thing for over a week - been a bit sick this morning and got bad stomach - fed up with it

Got to do some more cleaning this morning (have guests for the weekend so house has to be spotless apparently

) and then will head off for work. I think I may have the afternoon off but won't find out till later

Not got much planned for the weekend, just riding and sorting out the tack room. Also going to give the barn a muck out and put some straw down so we can start shutting the horses in at night.

At the moment it's dry here but i'm sure the rain will come.....
 
Have just posted some pictures in your PG thread, they're all quite shabby but I never seem to get any photos of us on a good day

Morning all....im sorry to confess, i didnt take any photos of Ted due to sh!t weather (pouring it down) and him giving Tom a bit of an interesting ride lol

who'd like a little blow by blow of Teds antics this morning?

welll.....It wasnt Teddys fault but no sooner had tom got on, he was sitting on the floor. Ted can be a bit funny about mounting at times and hes not too sure about men or people he doesnt know and considering tom is a man and Ted had never met him before and i wasnt holding Ted and tom leapt on taking him a little by surprise welll.....it all went a bit tits up lol and bearing in mind this horse hant been sat on in 2 weeks lol. anyhooo both parties were uninjured and we soon realised the main problem was the long waterproof coat tom was wearing, so that was taken off and Ted then stopped shaking and was perfectly behaved

popped a few jumps only 80cm lol but hes not fit at all, did some lovely grid work, gave the jumps plenty of air definitely got scope and made a beautiful shape 98% of the time

so for the first time jumping in 2 months, ridden by Tom for the first time, in my instructors arena for the 6th time and in the pouring rain VERY pleased with him tbh

he then stood in the spare stable (his was being mucked out) next to my instructors horse and he and Ofir (instructors horse) were winding eachother up like mad and Ted was squealing his head off and Ofi was loving it, i think he figured getting a reaction out of Ted was really quite a good game

Ooops, Silly Teddy, sounds like he settled down nicely though and did some good work once he got over the shock

he did bless him, it was just all a complete sensory overload for him poor baby

should be seeing him tomorrow and perhaps sunday too but definitely seeing him tomorrow

he wont be worked tomorrow but ill get mum to help me groom him outside his stable if its not raining and have a little photo sesh

Morning all!!!! Not a very nice day here either, grey and damp!!!! Going yard this evening after work as still have a banging headache (now had it for two days!!!) so gonna be extremely lazy and go back to bed I think!!!

Hey all back from doctors - they think when i had swine flu in july it wasnt swine flu but glandular fever and thats why im picking everything up thats going. Got some amoxicillin anyway - god they do talk a lot of crap really............

Looking at met check this morning your getting more rain than us, we are expecting one deluge rain but the rest are showers, so don't think I'll need my life jacket, but may need weighted boots for horses later, its gonna get wild up where they are

Thanks Samstar - at least ive only had today off work because of it ......its just dull and boring though.

One of share horses has been kicked so have to go up to stables - hoping some fresh air will do me good x
