I'm shattered already, don't like doing them at the weekends and this year even if you don't live in you have to do a "late" haynet chuck in at 7pm -_- which isn't very fair on those of us who have to just wait around!!
Other than that, not much happening with me. Really can't wait to see my pony tomorrow, missing him loads
Not really looking. Well. Sort of. Considering it. LC isn't going anywhere, other than on loan maybe... Daughter is fifteen, so only a year left in juniors, but she's about five-seven now (about seven stone wet through lol). LC is 13.2hh. She's trying to decide whether to stick to LC and go to PC with him and basically have fun for a year, or to get a horse that she can go jumping with (wants to BSJA). She tried a rather nice Connie two days ago... very forward but controlable; he's 14.2hh though and hubby is putting his foot down rather firmly re. the size thing - I think he thinks that we'll get a year down the line and we won't sell him, just have yet another horse
(Oh, he knows me sooooooooooo well lol).
I've considered swapping - Daughter ride Dizz and I'll ride LC
. Someone has offered to take Little Lad and lend us one of her ponies for Daughter to have some fun on, which is very tempting, but I'm afraid that'll we'll all fall in love with the pone and not want it to go.... Daughter is already smitten by Tiger and there's no way Wimbles would sell him.
Obviously based on my result last week I know everything..........
All I would say is its not that bad - she looks very tense so maybe she needs to warm up for longer so she is listening more to you. Also it may help to stop her doing her giraffe impression
She looks very smart ldlp111, one thing I'd maybe just say was to use the school a little bit more on your changes of rein and stuff and maybe ride her a bit more into a contact to see if that'll settle her head? I think
wow, complicated times MrsM!!
sometimes the best times you ahve with a pony are just as you outgrow them though, I suppose because you can get the most out of them.
good luck either way!!!!!
well prob is im useless at dressage and i find it really hard to get to move away from left leg she falls in alot which is why we cut the corners and school so much
oh well
warm up was bout 20 min i think
had few lessons after this i think, in which instructor said shes not learnt to accept the contact hence head like a yo-yo
oh well will try again next year with the stressage
- I think she just needs to practise a bit more so she settles. Maybe have some more lessons before you go out next year. You just need to find the right buttons to push!
