Sorry MM99, I'm totally clueless when it comes to anything as complicated as a pelham

bummer, its a myler pelham, which is jointed and a bit softer but daft with a grackle non the less, as work against each other in my opinion

D-L *whispers* that's the one we were going to buy!!

MM99 - that's why I asked as they do work against one another, I would get rid of the grackle

MM99 - I personally would take of the grackle and see how she goes in just the pelham - if necessary try something other than the pelham and work your way through what she is doing/going.

ok, will suggest that, its quite hard as its not my horse, am just riding her a couple of times a week, but I do want to feel safe and for us to have a nice or productive ride. She was in a jointed gag before this pelham, and went better in that, still with the grackle, not convinced by that full stop as still feel the problem is the saddle..

Can you suggest the saddle is checked, it may be that she's running away from the pain and that's why they have her in a stronger bit!

I'll not lie to you guys, this is taking for ages. Anyone know if I can post the video with no sound - I think I swore on a couple of occasions at my goofed riding!

Hi tikino, how are you??

We tried the bit today, she seems to quite like it, mouthed it quite well and seems to lather more with it. Having her teeth done on Friday, so should get a better idea once they have been done!

Hang in there. They will be on shortly - fingers x'd. I am very pleased with our trot work, our walk work was better in the first test than the second but it all fell apart at the canter - positives were he went off on the correct lead each time - bad points is we just cannot circle or bend at all in canter so it is horrid. He recovered well back into the trot in the first test but not so well in the second. The video if it ever uploads is the second test so overall I didn't feel it went as well as the first but I was still pleased with the majority of the walk and trot work (bearing in mind Paddy had never so much as seen a school prior to December!)

CC very much welcomed (gently tho for the canter lol).

Only one more piccie to upload so hang in there folks!
