Morning all! Nothing interesting to report really, on the train to work. Feel a little on tenterhooks waiting to hear if our offer on a gorgeous little rental cottage is accepted, won't know until tomorrow

First day of hols and I can't believe I couldn't sleep in, so off to do horses in a mo and to ring the quacks for an appointment for antibiotics as my chest is no better(weezing).
I seem to do a bit of work then have to stop because it just goes so tight, so no horse riding for me ggggrrrrr

I'm still in bed at the moment with a lovely cup of coffee. Will soon be getting up and going to the stables to muck out and hopefully ride if the rain lets off for long enough. It's rained almost constantly here this weekend

Morning everyone.

I'm feeling a bit guilty today as I've had to put Belle out in a hw as her mw is too wet, but now the sun seems to be coming out. I have left the neck bit off in the hope it will keep her a bit cooler.

Can anyone tell me what happens at a x-country schooling day? I might be able to go to one this sunday but my horse is terrified of all the jimps, but will do ti when encouraged, but I don't really want to do it in front of strangers!

Had a brill weekend, went for a lovely hack on sunday with 2 friends, one of whom turned back, the other went on, and I made Belle go on without her friend and after a little hissy fit she did it, and led the ohter horse all the way out. Then when we got back I made her leave the other horse so we could go for a gallop in the field, and she did it again! Good practice for her as she's too clingy. And the gallop was great, just when I think she can't possibly go any faster, I put my leg on and she grunts and the power that comes from her as she blasts across the field is incredible!

Have been and done the first muck out of winter.. stable wasn't as bad as I expected and she will get better as she settles into the routine. Was quite nice being up the yard early and mucking out.

It's half-term so I am on holiday

However have ended up teaching for an hour today. Not overly impressed as for once I would like a whole week off, but won't get that until Christmas I think! Still, money I otherwise wouldn't have had!

well, my recovery of the horsebox continues today... it's abandoned halfway home (hours away), so getting recovery peeps out today for it.
then i will get it home and kick it.
once i've finished kicking it, i will encourage my snotty children to wipe their bogeys on it.

Good news is PC world were trying to sell me a new charger for it that cost £60

but I had been pre-warned by Maplin that they would sell me one weather it worked or not so he told me what to check and what would happen if I got wrong one from them. So armed with the info I needed I looked at the product PC world were trying to sell me and low and behold it was the wrong thing, if I had used it it would have completely killed my Laptop

Little people are on half term this week so will be doing more hours looking after them. Hopefully we will make the most of the daylight and get some nice long hacks in. Once they go back to school they will only be able to ride at weekends
