Might as well stay up now - but will no doubt collapse in a heap by this afternoon!!!
Hope everyone has a fab day!!!

Morniiiiiiiiing!

I'm already feeling sick - hunter trial today! I HATE the nerves (and unfortunately upset stomach) that always preceed these things. However once I'm there I'll settle a bit, even more so once I'm riding. My sharer's taking Genie round the 2'3 first as a last fling (she officially finished with her on Tuesday) so I'll have to worry about that first before taking her round the 2'6! Argh!

Hope everybody else has a great day! We had a yard meal last night which was most enjoyable despite not feeling 100%. Our yard is weird in that you hardly see anybody over the summer, so it was nice to see people that I literally have not seen in weeks.

Morning!

I wish all you bargain rug seekers Happy Hunting. Not a chance of anything so enlightened as a rug sale here - and all I would want is a rainsheet/lightweight TO

Suddenly realised I have no hay
blush.gif
How does this happen? A round bale is a big thing to have in the gaden, you should notice when it isn't there! I'll have to ring my friendly neighbour and hope he can bring one down for me this afternoon!

*stumbles off to the coffee*

I was FIRST through the doors, ran to the all the rugs hanging up and NOT ONE, NOT ONE 6’6” stable rug, every other size they had loads of but 6’6” NO.

I’m soooooooooo disappointed, people after me were getting 3 and 4 at a time with HUGE smiles on their faces, me, I just hung my head low and shuffled out of the store.

Going to muck out now and dream of what might have been.

So far have walked and fed the dogs, fed the horses and put their lw on as its cold and I think we may have rain heading this way (first in a month if it does!) nipped into town and for bread and bacon and big fresh bones for the mutts. They are munching in the garden and I am trying to decide if 2 bacon sandwiches is just being greedy - and if it is do I care??

Happy Birthday DL
SkippyDo do you have a Countrywide near you? Some are having 'Equestrian Events' and I note our local has really stocked up on rugs ready for the event, bound to be a few bargains 'on the day' as they usually give 10-15% off and have some specials - ours is on 15th October.

MrT: I used to live next door to some real night owls who regularly came home singing/arguing in the early hours. I got in the habit of hoovering my car as near to their window as possible by 8.30am latest. Lots of on-off of the hoover works well. Got told off by them once (only once, they never did it again) as I was doing tyres, changing the wheels over and making a point of turning the compressor on and off a lot. I was sweet as pie and said 'Oh I didn't realise it was you that came home at 4 and woke me with all the shouting and singing, I've been up doing housework since as I couldn't get back to sleep' They were a bit quieter after that!

Not doing anything today apart from paperwork: VAT return time!

Dubsie there's no Countrywide near me i'm afraid, but thanks for the thought.

MrT am i right in saying this is the house you've just moved into. That's pants if it is
frown.gif
you'll have to think of some early morning LOUD calls for them
grin.gif

Try getting their phone number and ringing really early, i've done that before, no point in it really but it does make you feel a whole lot better

Afternoon everyone. Had an eventful night - woke up at 3.30am with this wind and started worrying in case Belle's rug had slipped and she might have been running around with it trapped around her legs! So up at 7am sharp, straight to the yard for it opening, and she was happy as larry munchin with her friends.

grin.gif

Back at 8.30am to poo pick and sort her stable ready for winter. Tried her turnout boots for first time today and she took off full belt across the field, bucking as she went, they hadn't moved so I'm pretty happy with them!
grin.gif

Now her stable's really pretty and everything is sparkling, ready for w****r coming

Afternoon - back in from poo picking - the wind is still blowing and the sky has gone a very attractive shade of black - is about to piddle down I think!!
blush.gif

So I have come in for tea and toasted teacake - anyone?

I don't venture in here very often so Hello everyone!

Happy Birthday DL
h010.gif
, Have you had a good day? Lots of nice pressies?

Went up to the yard earlier and took Charlie out for a canter around the stubble fields, he was SO fresh but he didn't nap once so I was very happy with him. I schooled him for 15 minutes when I got back and although he wasn't very settles (kept spooking and calling to the others) I actually managed to get his head down and working properly(ish) for once.

I fiddles around with Pixie for a bit, grooming her and leading her around, as she has been a bit abandoned lately, she was very good bless her. She loves being groomed and just stands there really quietly. I painted her hooves with hoof oil for the first time and she was trying to lick it off
shocked.gif

I moved a tractor Tyre into the field and stuck a load of hay in it to it, they all must have been pretty hungry as they mugged me when carrying the hay through the field, the wheel barrow was half empty by the time I reached the tyre
crazy.gif

Hope you have all had successful days with your horses!

Yep his blood results have come back clear, he seems a lot brighter in himself and he has a nice shiny coat at long last.

We had a few issues with napping when I brought him back into work but hopefully *touches lots of wood* we have got over that problem, I think I was being to soft with him and he was just taking the Piss a bit.

The last week he has been very fresh, lots if jogging and going sideways which must mean he is actually feeling better, before his time off he would just plod along at the back!

Bet you wish you never asked now
tongue.gif

ETA - Thanks for the Tea cake

Happy birthday DL!

Well I am back! We survived!

My sharer had one stop round the 2'3 - the first time Genie has EVER stopped. She came 9th, and wouldn't have placed if she had gone clear as she was too slow through the timed section.

I took her round the 2'6 and.... we went clear!
laugh.gif
She was absolutely fantastic, not a single sticky moment really. Unfortunately the gate blew shut before I could go through it, however I'm really pleased with 13th out of 31!

Sorting out photos now!

Thankyou all!
grin.gif

I had a brilliant night last night. Definitly drank far too much , but I can remember most things...:o
blush.gif

Got some fab prezzie's thanks that I've been needing for a while! Lots of food

Going out to a restaurant in a little bit but just having five minutes to myself before the chaos can re-begin!
