I'm off to a tack shop in a little while to help my friend get some clippers, get me a PROPER fleece sheet (

GOOOOOOOOOD Morning SFA

Lame horse seemed to trot up ok yesterday from what I could see, it was a bit difficult to judge cos he insisted on cantering while OH was running with him

, was very windy though and the sheep thought it would be funny to add to his game by running up and down the fence. Will try him again today and if he looks ok will go for a quiet hack into the village.
Visitors today at 1pm

I have a lesson today on my little man - seeing if his confidence has built up with poles yet, and hopefully going to start introducing some lateral moves (lets hope he doesn't get his stress head on!)

Then I'm off to school an ex intermediate who's been off work for a little bit and I have the awesome job of schooling him once a week - yay!

no riding for me this weekend but friends up from london and everyone round to mine for x factor and drinks tonight then off out. Just need to find something nice to wear!

also debating whether to go and see a couple of horses next week
 
Hi everyone - hope you are all well.

Life has been a bit hetic the last couple of weeks - We had a splendid w/end in Venice - excellent weather, lots of walking and sightseeing, eating & drinking and the odd ice cream. Hard to say which flavour came out best but I think it was cherry closely followed by lemon or maybe it was the chocolate followed by ...........

Apart from being mega expensive virtually 1Euro = £ I ended up with horrible spasmodic stomach cramps. Eventually managed to get appointment for doc when got home & he though I had an infection gave me antibiotics which I have now finished but still getting twinges so back to docs next week.

On top of this work has been horrid - sales promising goods in totaly unrealistic time frames and OH has had to work very late (home about 2am) three nights this week due to a major problem at a customer site. So we are both very doopy this moring as we get up at 6.15 in the week!

Off to dressage at Addington later today. That will be entertaining as I really haven't done much work with Ness this week so if she misbehaves I only have myself to blame.

At last the mist is starting to clear and there is a glimmer of sun.

sun is shining here, i'm sat on my (still excessively large) buttocks, watching 'Cars' with the toddler as he was in a strange clingy mood this morning, so i thought i'd let him have a treat (he's not usually allowed tv during the day... before you report me to jeremy kyle). little maddy is scrunched up in her little bouncy chair, looking rather uncomfortable, but sleeping... i feel like i should grab this opportunity to sleep myself, but have a friend coming round soon, and have a million things to do before then (number one thing... change into clean PJs without milk stains and baby sick...)

darling hubby is going to finish the stables today i hope... he has to hang the doors, put the stuff on them (locks etc) and also line all the stables and haybarn. but currently he's hoovering and sweeping in preparation for my friend's visit. oh yes, i married a good 'un. gah, i'm thirsty... hopefully he'll catch sight of me looking parched and bring me a cuppa too...

right, my hunt for hay/small bale haylage continues as horses are starving in their temp paddock... and i need to throw in some hay to see them by until monday when they can move into their stables and we can sort the paddocks out.

oooh, the scrunchy one is awakening... better go.

Well have had a busy morning so far - have fed and walked the dogs and fed the neds. I also poo picked the coblets field and then moved her fence so she got some more grass

- little toad nipped through the fence and spent 5 minutes charging around the field!!

Anyway let her have a bit of a graze while I sorted out fence and neice went and got headcollar so I could drag her back the right side of the fence!! I have to poo pick the BGL field and then they will be swapping fields for a bit so the BGL can eat down the coblets field - ulcer management for him and lami management for her - my life is so simple........

Anyhoo also got to fit in riding them and clipping as they are both big floofy monsters and sweating as soon as they see their tack!! Should give me a couple of lively rides!!

Now feel exhasuted reading that so am having another cuppa..............

Morning all,

Had a lazy morning, not going up to do the horses today as the YO will do them, unless it starts chucking it down then I'm going to go up and bring them in for the night.

Need to give myself a kick up my backside to get of the sofa and actually do something

I need to list some stuff on eBay, muck my car out (should have done it last weekend!) and try and persuade step dad to put some Clear plastic in the stable windows, at the moment the are covered with a wooden board to stop drafts!

MrsM - Any chance of some more ridden piccy's of the Dizzy one?
 
I've just spent far, far too much money in a tackshop - only went in for some thrush treatment .... how on earth did I come out with a gilet, sweatshirt, breeches, new headcollar and leadrope, boots for the horse and two new rugs?! Madness!

why can people never just do as you ask???

i asked sharer lady to just take poo out of stable, she has taken more than just poo out, does she not know how much shavings cost!!
and sweep up yard!!(not so peeved about this altho all she has done is sweep it off concrete onto grass??!

and she has put poo and wet stuff in wheelbarrow which i use for clean stuff even though there is big pile of cr@p on concrete outside stable waiting to be put in trailer for removal to muck heap!!

GOOD AFTERNOON!!

Got back from the yard: had a lesson with the pony, who has decided to be a stressy giraffe again for the moment---but I think we may be getting somewhere. I'll try the new bit out tomorrow, when I have time to let him get used to it! Then poo-picked most of the pony jail; finishing tomorrow. For the moment, he's back in the big field with his friends. Apparently, he was calling for them all day yesterday, poor shnookums!

Tonight, we've got a polo fun night at the riding school, so looking forward to that. I hope I get a pony tonight that will actually let me get near the ball! Last time it was like this: hit ball, pony takes off, gallop around arena, eventually drop mallet to stop pony, get off, get mallet, remount, repeat...

I am having a seriously lazy day after a busy week and a drink or two too many last night at my company's "Significant Others" do. Think my OH enjoyed meeting a few of my colleagues, good food too (posh Indian stuff).

Not riding til tomorrow, which is a shame as the weather is fab!

Afternoon being busy doing stuff and now have deleoped (developed duh!) smelly stinky cold syndrome and fortunatly as I am of the fairer sex I still got up early and mucked the big pony out.

Anti-spooking training not doing very well as he has taken it all in his stride. Perhaps he loves me.

This PM I have Black plastic bags to put on jump uprights to make a narrow gap to walk through. I have my umberella ready in the car and I am going to ask one of the lads on the yard if I can borrow his football.
 
Just got back from the ponies i,m bored now i have nothing to ride. Hope to go and see my mare at the stud tomorrow and cant wait for her to come home. All i have to do now is feed the dogs and the tortoise.

I was clipping the BGL, the coblet had cuddles, we went to see the ponies and Little Jess was on 3 legs so put her in and gave her some food with bute - I think she has tweaked something being a prat

Anyway now she knows where I am I have said she can come over next time she is at her friends and have a ride if she fancies it - that is of course assuming she didn't want to go running in the opposite direction from the mad woman...........

Just having a cuppa before putting up jumps for neice - will clip the cob tomorrow. YO has said it supposed to be dry and warm again - temps up to about 20 for the next week!! How mad is that??

Good evening!

Well I have been singing this afternoon, got to go up and put the rug back on the pony in a bit...

Had to have the vet out to her today *SIGH* She came up in a load of lumps on her chest last Monday and I've been monitoring them, but they've got worse and are now painful. She's got to have THREE baths with anti-fungal stuff this week, then two a week for the following two weeks, she's had an antibiotic injection, and has antibiotics in her feed for a next five days starting tomorrow. Oh, and I have to avoid rugging her as much as poss, which would be fine but she's been clipped out...

Why do we have them eh?
 
Hi all,
Had a lazy day, preparing for temporary two horse ownership. Having my friend's big boy as my own for a few weeks as mine is only on 10 mins a day, and she has managed to break her ankle - trying to avoid tripping over her 3 three year old son! Years of falling off horses with nothing and she does it stepping down a step a bit too quickly!
It's working out ok as I now have something to ride and she has someone to look after him!
Might be taking her boy to a HT tomorrow - that'll be interesting as I haven't even sat on a horse for a month! He's a sweetie though and he's fit even if I'm not!
