Ugh morning all....

Slept like poo, too much going through my mind. Speaking to YO today and moving Genie tomorrow. Not the YO's fault at all and still think the yard is a lovely yard itself, but not happy there anymore. Will probably lose some money but I really don't care anymore.

Second clip today.... I love how she feels after clipping! Need to get all the grease out of her coat first though so that will be fun!

just sat eating my breakfast then I've got to get changed quickly as I'm playing hockey (woo hoo). Already been up to bring the horse, in happy to see he survived another night of fireworks

fi - what have i missed? why you moving yards? hope it all goes well, and you both settle quickly. good luck with the clipping. when you're finished, feel free to come and attack my teddybear. i'm putting off his first clip until he's back in work (something i'm also putting off as i am a chicken...)

today i'm spending some time with my husband. this is his one day off in nearly three weeks. so, we are going to drink tea, cuddle, and fart about all day together. the kids are overjoyed and he is currently being climbed on by our 2 yr old.

Ugh Today is the first day of No turnout. Mucked the Lovely boy out and then took him for a walk in hand. He learns routine very quickly so I am going to teach him just going for a leg stretch in the morning is Ok. Today is Saturday so he gets an hour out in school with two mates. I ponder that he will put on weight as the grazing he was on was pretty rubbish and now he'll be able to stuff haylage to his hearts content!.

I am feeling guilty about his mate who tried to bite my finger off as he is an aggressive so and so and has now effectively been sectioned. No turnout with other horses and no one near his stable. Apparently he nearly took another liveries head off and has been treating her pony as a punchbag.

Well I have walked the mutts and am just having my brekkie and then I'm off to ride the BGL and make a big fuss of them both after my week on the sick bed!! The coblet is looking like a wild thing so needs a bit of attention!!

I have just emailed the stables company about the block that had 2 stables, a tack room and a hay barn for about £3690 plus VAT and the charge to have it put up. This is what they've emailed in response :

Dear Lucy

The ‘sale’ stable block you refer to is now no longer available. BUT as of next week we are introducing a VALUE RANGE of stables which will be cheaper that the Clipper Range. They will still have a 4’ canopy to the front and guttering. They will not have a window but instead they will have a clear roof sheet. For example to have 1 x 12x 12 Loose Box, 1 x 16 x 12 Corner Unit and 1 x 6’ x 12’ Tack Room to deliver and erect would be: £2,785.00 plus VAT! Which is an amazing price.

If you would like to discuss this further please give me a ring. If you are in a position to collect this from us and self assemble the price becomes £2,228.00 plus VAT.

Don’t forget that VAT is going back up as of 1st January so you have the chance to save on the VAT if you take delivery before Christmas, as long as we have slots available. We will be advertising this range as of next Thursday in Horse and Hounds.

As for me, 'tis hubby's Birthday and I am poorly (yes, again again againg again, etc. etc. et al!). Friend thinks was a migraine. Could well be right. I took some Anadin Extra and definatley feel better than I did earlier (it was pretty bad - thought I'd caught Slink's bug

Friend is feeding the Dizzy one, if she will be caught - she was a bit of a prat the other day; you have to pretend you're going for her field buddy, then she comes to you lol.
 
afternoon all just a flying visit to say high as running round like a headless chicken as usual. was watching my 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew last night and had to stay over at there's. nephew an wife decieded to come home at 12noon. so i then went muched out horses etc and now getting ready for work and dad is feeding horses at 5ish feeds made outside there doors as they are all in getting wormed at moment so grounded for 1 week so can go out again on wednesday thank god anyhow how are we all doing
 
Well I'm back... could have been worse when I spoke to YO. Not long after it all kicked off big time (not involving me), which upset me more. Have had a headache for hours and can't wait to move tomorrow now.

On a good note, have cleared out a lot of stuff so less to do tomorrow, and madam has had her second clip. Took her whole head out for the first time ever, and she was very good apart from her ears, so twitched her for that bit and then she was fine.

Can I have a stiff drink?

Just back from the yard, been there all day so I smell like a muck heap

I got roped in to doing 2 other stables today so was up there a lot longer then I wanted to be. I'm the only one who makes up feeds (for 7 horses

), sweeps the yard etc so it takes forever

It really feels like I work 7 days a week at the moment but I guess that's what happens when you keep your horses at where you work

Besides all that I had a lovely ride on Charlie, went exploring in the forest a bit and made some jumps along the way. Somehow I avoided getting wet

Share horses have moved to their new yard and so dissapointed I couldnt be there - damm work! Still feel grotty though. Mrs M think a virus is going round - you coughing and headachy?

Well it has been a lovely day here!

I rode the BGL this morning and suffice to say there was no lack of impulsion!!

Anyway we did about 45 mins in the school and he concentrated despite the YO washing out his sheep trailer with power washer, the hunt in the distance and my sister moving the lorry!!

All in all he was a very good boy - and I was brave and kept my legs on when he was having a moment and managed to ride him through it!! We are now entered for the Prelim 7 class next week - EEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!

Then went to sj with neices and sister. Molly was a star and really chilled for neice - she did 2 classes and got 2 2nds!!

so really pleased as its been a while since neice did a competiton and its her first time on new horse so a good result all round!!

I bought some jelly cherry sweets and have nearly scoffed the lot .
I also must remember to drop off a big bottle of pop in the field shed i worked up a real thisrt doing bugsy,s stable today and the water in the hose was rank i don,t think i left it running long enough.
 
Ok here are a few piccies of neice on Molly - this was the first round she did the next class was bigger but only got piccies of the first round!! It was a good day to go as her first class on her as it wasn't to busy so she didn't have time to get nervous!!

They have both jumped a lot bigger but they were the only classes on today - so a good practise run before she does a 'proper' class!
