Thank you for your nicenesses re. Moz. She was my baby, all eleven and a half stone of her
smile.gif
. I lost her to bloat in January this year. The vet and I were lying on the floor with her, crying our hearts out. When the injection was half-way, Moz lifted her head and rested it on my arm and went peacefully. It killed a bit of me that day. Couldn't cry for months.

She was such a kind and gentle soul. Too light compared to most Bernards, despite her breeding - she should have been show quality, but didn't develop enough bone, so she was just my big cuddly dog.

We took her everywhere

. Camping. Into town. Horse shows (was going to take her into the coloured in-hand and see if anyone noticed lol). Daughters lay with her on the floor and she was their sofa or the cushion for their heads. She'd lie at my feet and rest her head on my knee. Often there was the cry of "Moz, get your head off the table!".

Once we left her at home - she was a bit miffed... Ate the skirting board, part of a wall, a chair leg, the architrave round the door, a full hand of bananas, and half a calculator

.

Taught her to bark on command, but she was running about at the time, so ever after she thought "Speak!" meant run round like a loon and bark her head off lol.

She had me in tears evrey day for six months. Was almost impossible to train, and if she saw another dog she'd want to play. Many a time (seemed to be always when I'd just eaten!), I'd be running after her yelling, "Don't worry, she won't hurt you, just wants to play!".

I miss her. I miss her so much.

Crikey you lot have been busy, i have just bid on a motorbike jacket for my son on ebay here,s hoping it don,t go too pricey or he wont get it. My shettie is looking a bit bored and the nf amigo is pining for his companion, thankgod i did the separation training with him so he learnt it,s ok to stay on your own for a while. Its been one week now and they are separated with the electric fence so they can see but cannot touch as bug is too small to reach the second line let alone the top line.

Thank you darlings.

Built in heartache huh. I knew I'd have at the most ten years with her, but in the end it was short of seven; I'd had her since she was nine week old. But we had almost seven years of love and enjoyment and emotions from frustration to fear and at all times immense love and loyalty.

Ho hum.
