Sweet FA...SATURDAY!

S_v, I've always been very sceptical about them, but someone I know had one out, and they did say some amazing things!
grin.gif

Never had one to my lot though, and not sure really...what if they all say they hate me and want new owners!!!

SV I was a bit sceptical, but we've had the Anne Dee person out to the yard (not me) and she was really quite astonishing.

Too long a story to write now but it can be suprising

not for me SV

unfortuantely some of my free time will be taken up with rewriting my first year report to tell more of a story, joy, and my supervisor will even be there to check it for me!

not all the time though

I think if you use a good one they are great.

I used one at the start of the summer as I was having major problems with Charlie, the AC was spot on with what she said (the vet confirmed it with a Blood test), he had 8 weeks off and is now doing great, his whole attitude has changed
smile.gif

Spooky stuff really but when they tell you things about your horse that they really couldn't know then you can't say it's a load of Cr@p! I think you have to try it to believe it though.

Well I don't know that's why am wondering about it. I always fancied it for ALi but always thought it would be in person so not sure how it works if they are distsnt?

That is the same place ester!

The baths are used for therapy - doctors send them there for treatments. They have various massages etc on offer and when I was there I think it cost me about £15 for a massage and then as much time as I wanted in the baths - steam baths, saunas etc was worth every penny!
grin.gif
I will see if I can find the name of the tea shop - is the other side of the river from the Gellert but is one of the old traditional tea shops - is all table cloths and chandeliers and lots of fabby cake!!

Night DL see you tomorrow

See, I think I'm just too practical to believe in it all. At the same time, I understand the curiosity behind it, and the idea that you get to know more about your horse.

What I don't get is the theory that horses "talk" in English to these people. After all, one of ours is from the continent, would she speak Flemish??

Occasionally I speak Gaelic to my mare...it does sooth her if she's a bit stressed, but I think it's the cadence of the language, not the words

hehe, I shall look forwards to that rather sore atm though, supervisor has not told me to take anything apart from swimming costume!! that is of great importance.

the conference is in the marriot which is the other side of the river I think.

agree f-s, even I can guess what frank would say so..

tonight it would be I really don't like you as you have removed half my hair and pulled my mane which hurt

I did tell him that I plucked hair too so we all have to suffer but dont think he believed me. I could so hog it!

Will find name of cake shop for you

- I think book with details is in the other room somewhere. You only need your costume for the main communal pool - when you go to the treatment sections they are divided into male and female and clothes are not required!!

They do provide 'modesty' aprons which are just thin cotton so when wet are as good as useless - hope you aren't shy!!

Exactly!!! Do they get a picture from the animal and convert it?

If that happened then, surely, if you looked closely, I mean really closely at your horse, you would spot the subtle changes when it does and doesn't like something?

Ok, here's an example:

My mare gets very wound up if someone shouts at her. I can tell her off, and she listens , but if someone else does it, she just freaks. I think this is due to the treatment she had as a youngster,( she's very curious and can be bargy). As a consequence, I treat her totally differently, I keep quiet, and most of my reinforcement comes from actions, not words. As I said, if she is very uptight, I speak to her in Gaelic (she's from Cork, originally) again, a throwback from her early life, where she probably heard that sound when she was young.

A good animal communicator, would take one look at her and know that she is wary of people she didn't know, and therefore, would possibly suggest she is treated sensitively. Surely, this is just the same conclusion I would have come to, only I don't claim to be a communicator?

I'm maybe not explaining this very well, but hopefully you'll get the gist!!
