Afternoon all.
I felt so guilty this morning, I was dead on my feet last night so decided to have a lie in and didn't get up till 10am! I felt awful for not going to see Belle first thing but she's out in the field so not the end of the world. This is the first weekend is ages where I haven't had loads to do so did all my housework this morning and then went out for a lush ride. Decided I'd try hacking out alone again and we were out for about 1 and half hours. Had a couple of nappy moment but rode through it and were fine, had a fab time!
She certainly seems to be gaining in confidence, for all I had to lead her over the bridge and she was a bit ploddy after, when we'd got over the road bit and onto the bridle paths she was actually quite excited and we had a lovely canter for a change, though she stopped dead three times because of an evil looking leaf! And the branches are so low at the moment, had to put my head on her neck at one point, and shut my eyes! My face was
when I got back!
Hope everyone has had lovely days, I'm off to put my feet up and have some rare but well deserved me time, speak to you all tomorrow (or maybe later tonight

WWOOOOOOOO HHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *S_V comes clattering in all excited!!!*
Pads and I's last Hunter Trials of the year and it ended on a high!!!!
Arrived in plenty of time, walked the course, first jump soooooooooooo tiny I though oh dear I picked the wrong course but just a nice one to get you started. A bit worried about 3 and 4 as they doubled back towards the warm up and I was worried he would nap, into the forrest where there was a nice run of jumps then back out onto the track for home.
Pads absolutely flew the lot, he warmed up really well and set off at a nice pace - flew 3 and 4 - typical - seriously more me in a panic than him and made the rest look easy - defo Intro next year I think!
A couple of piccies - last one looks tiny, but it wasn't really!

On a sadder note, seems to have been a freak accident at the water jump with a rider after me and horse had to be PTS - just goes to show accidents can happen at any level

I have just finsihed clipping the coblet - now have two horses that feel like they are made of suede!! Just trying to get rid of all little itchy hairs now................
Would offer you wine S_V but am just having a cuppa then off out to feed and rug before I uncorked it - will have it when I'm back!!

Hello All!
Can barely keep my eyes open already!! The show went relativley un-hitched. The clear round took a long time to get started up and then come half 10 I was running around like nobodys business putting jumps up/ down / moving fillers/ pushing them in / changing to cross poles etc etc etc.
Had a few tumbles, removals of bridles etc. There was one little pony there that was very off..
It moved as if it had nails in its feet and was so stressed out. When they entered for the jumping I almost couldnt watch and was tempted to say "Look, just leave him there.." but luckily they stopped for their next class
There was also this poor girl there on a welsh who decided that he would speak to one of the horses in the paddock next door, which apparently meant rearing 4 times and lashing out ! Poor girl was frozen with fear and wouldnt turn him away so he just kept carrying on!
Then Darcy made his entrance
He was a good boy, just had a mooch around and took it all in. Had some de-nappy training as he threatened to go up twice
So , we did some good schooling on that and in the end he was trotting past his group of friends quite happily. Then I just practised my leg-yielding, parked him at the side of the ring and let him watch the Championships where my friend won!
So thrilled for her, she's been having awful trouble with her pony at the moment so this was really good for her to come away with 3 first places and a trophee!

At the risk of being sad can sme of my sweet fa chums, even tho u've read it on here put a wee word on my report in comp riders - i decided to brave it and put it in there and nobody has replied even although several have read it - getting a complex!

Steady Eddy was very naught today, he reared up with me, I'm so not pleased with him
Done full report and already posted it!
Going to give him his tea now, I know he'll be his usual loveable self, I told Fihunt i was going to wait until it was freezing until i gave him a bath but i think i'm over it now

What a mixture of weather we've had down here - bleurgh! And how mild was it last night? I swear my horse had had his winter coat through, is now defluffing again, and his summer coat is coming back!! Okay maybe i'm exagerrating
