I think thats why I like her so much.
Been to see potential share again - owner is absolutley lovely and horses are gorgeous! went for short hack today and had a canter. really hoping it works and she can put up with me being a bit slow to start with!!

thank you - i think im still gobsmacked how nice everyone is when i go to try a horse and that ive found this oppurtunity. although i think it helps being nice and a bit sensible yourself - oh and actually able to ride a bit!

hi guys
well i havnt caught up with what everyones been doing, will do later.
had a busy day today
cobs leg looks bit more swollen again and still got big bump on knee, surely if this was a knock it should of gone down by now??
gona give him bute again twice a day and hose it when i can, vet is coming out wednesday to do archie so will ask him then if not gone down by then! do you think i should ask him to do a blood test or anything like that?
basically leg swelled up couple of months ago exact same leg and place seems bit of coincidence to me
what do you guys think?

Afternoon everyone!!!
I'm late on here today, as I was pushed out to go and sort out horses and ride early!!!
Kodak was a very good boy today, despite OH deciding that he needs to carry large bits of wood, wheelbarrows, harrows dragging along etc!!
P_P is very pleased with him. He doesn't quite understand his canter aids though, so we will work on those when saddle is sorted out! At the moment riding in my mare's saddle with lots of sheepskin and a prolite pad!!
Poor boy, his girth really isn't that size, but just for now we'll call him fatty!!!!
My cats are settling in well too ( whoever bought rat poison, get a feral cat!!
) They are starting to appear out and about to eat, so I think they are ok. Still very timid though

Mrs M, good idea to lunge, pessoa etc, and vary work for Dizzy. I agree with Slinky (have had poofy and nightmare WB's too!!) they need their minds exercised as much as their muscles

Just made some chewy chocolate (with a hint of coffee) cookies if anyone wants one, they are a bit....err.......interesting
I did the one thing you should NEVER do when using an electric hand whisk, I turned it on when not in the bowl
The Yellow kitchen turned yellow with Chocolate splashes on for a while whilst I had a mad panic getting it clean before my mum came in
She walked in just as I was scrubbing it off the curtains, luckily she saw the funny side but I think we may be finding chocolate mixture in all sorts of places for the next few days

F_s daughter made up with me last night, only then to be asked if she could sleep with me, as her room was slightly over crowded

Well I is back from putting the lump to bed.
I was an hour later getting him in than he is used to and he and his pal who had been left out so he wasnt on his own proceeded to show me the tricks they had been practising to cheer me up.
There was some cavorting some spinning some play boxing and some squealy bucks.
Luckily I had one of the lads to help me bring in which was fine until his mate got to his stable. We had to go across the car park on our own with the affiliated jumping still running with loudspeakers noise and the sort of things which apparently make one flare ones nostrils and snort a lot.
One of the girls came up trumps and accompanied us with Chester who is like a very small rotund Ginger Biscuit and was quite happy to waddle across the car park with us. Drifter was so intrigued blowing at Chester that he nearly fell over his own feet.
So I put his bed down and gave him his tea and then stuffed the corner of his stable with Haylage that smelled like flapjacks.
He was delighted when his rugs were changed and he realised that he wasnt being ridden.
All was ok until I went to leave and spotted that he had dared to pooh on his fresh bed. I grabbed a fork, like you do, and went to remove it and moved too quickly and had a dizzy spell.
Luckily as I started to fall forward I noticed a handily placed tail attached to a large brown bum. I grabbed this convenient handle to maintain my balance and am happy to announce that it was not attached to any sort of ejector device.
Now for a cup of tea I think. Then for Diner I am having Fruit N Fibre Banana Milk and Brown Sugar.
Then back to bed with the cat and some chocolate buttons.

Well have just ridden the BGL - what a fab ride!! is wound up like a top today as sponsored ride came through the yard and they were using the field next to the BGL's as a car park so he spent an hour or so this morning showing eveyone his best trot and acrobatics!!
Result was when he came in tonight he was still wired - when I finally got on him - what a pavlova getting him tacked up and getting on board!!
- we went in the school and I guess he was best described as forward!! We did about 40 minutes all of which was carried out with what judges would say had plenty of impulsion!! We even managed to do most of it in an outline too!! Was v pleased because despite being wound up like a top he didn't spook or behave like a tit once!!!

Evening all i,m late on parade again today. I have been and paid snoopys stud bill "ouch" and arranged for her to come home next week "hooray". Also the stud man as said he will break my Amigo in when i,m ready so plan b on keeping my boy is sorted "oops i did it again". Now just got to start saving up again as the stud fee wiped my bank clean "oh well" thats horses for you.!

Well the plan is to get their fitness up over winter and work on their schooling so Inca can do some show classes next year (and a prelim test but don't tell her that!!) and get the BGL ready for some stressage as soon as we get transport sorted!! I want to do a couple of prelims on him just to get used to him at competition and then move up to Novice - am going to do the Trailblazers as well as the local classes and see how we go.

Yipee!!! Pretty much like us then really, concentrating on getting them in shape over the winter. P_P wants to do a bit of indoor jumping (only tiny fences though!
) and a bit of dressage, to get ready for the spring!!
Perhaps a bit a mini XC schooling too!!

I might fling in the odd little bit of jumping - one of the yards near here does Prix Caprilli tests for a bit of a change so it will stop the BGL's brain from freezing!!
So is P_P planning to jump on him then? or just bits of everything?
Mind you if she her confidence up she may be doing ODE before you know it!!

Hey all, just done a big one year ownerversary in PG if you fancy a wee nosey - even although i must say Sweet FA has lived it with me ol!

I won't hold my breath on the ODE !!!
Must say that she is eager to jump a bit on him though, he seems to give her the confidence to do it
She seems keen to do a bit of everything, whereas on her other horse it is a case of all feet on the ground!!!
You never know though! She could end up jumping her!!
