bless you I had one of those yesterday - today has been amazing and seeing the share horses makes it even better! still think their owner thinks im [****] though!
 
I think the problem is that LJ's own pony used to hunt off nothing, he would literally do nothing for weeks and then go to a meet and last all day. He is an incredible pony and gets seriously fit off very little work, Millie however is the complete opposite.

I think lack of fitness is one of the reason she kept stopping at jumps during the opening meet which then caused the accident

not that I can talk, im permenantly paranoid that people are seeing me ride then going away saying how shocking I am! lol
 
I really dont care what other people think though. The owner does alot more than me! Maybe im niave to everything but im happy to admit what level im at and that im still learning to ride at competition level!

I was taught for about ten years on how to jump jump jump with a little bit of dressage (and I mean a little bit) and now im learning a whole new way of riding! its HARD!
 
I feel your pain CallyH, for my younger years Ali and I were in PC games and then with Risky I evented so dressage was never high on my list (other than the necessary for eventing) but nw I'm giving it a real go on Pads and it is hard to change habits of a lifetime! It'll come tho!

Ta SV .... share owner says I am doing well though and im sure it will get easier - Im not stupid and can pick things up. Its just really hard when things are not so natural and you have to be taught to do stuff for years and years then your told to change it all!! Im not sure what im thinking to this showing business SV - I think if I could do anything cross country would be it!
 
Its completley a whole new world to me - to be able to get back to jumping at a good level would be my ideal but this is a fab oppurtunity and the share owner is proper lush so im giving it a good go!
