So, I've done the horses, farrier's been and big mare shod. Added a few comments on HHO, and am now relaxing with a nice cuppa!

Has just started to rain here - otherwise its situation normal - just having a cuppa myself!!

Rain just started here too, so I think that was a close shave!!! Got her shoes on just in time!!!

I'm OK thanks, still feeling it a bit, but, these things just take time. I also am trying to emerge myself in doing some of the tasks I haven't got round to for a while....ie: tack cleaning!!! Aggggg!!!

My lot were very peaceful this morning, in fact, probably more relaxed than in a long time. I don't know whether it's just I'm more chilled (weight off shoulders, although horrible) or that the element taken away was agitating them! Who knows...horses! that's why we love them!!!

Talking of tack cleaning ( I know you want to really!!) has anyone ever used Australian stuff? It's in a yellow and green tub. Can't remember the name of it, but it was brilliant, and don't know the name to order some more. They do a cleaner and then a leather dressing.

Just on the off chance that anyone knows what I'm waffling about!!!

Well I cleaned my tack the other day and last night rode in my stressage saddle and it involved a lot of sitting trot - so now I have black spots on the bum of my jods!!

Bloody cleaning just makes more cleaning, overrated nonsense

At least your black spots are from the saddle!!! Mine are just from my a**e being dumped in the mud!!!!!

Oh well, back to the cleaning, then off to help sis!!

Wouldn't be URAD stuff would it? I know they often have stands at Burghley and similar places although occasionally under different names, have been known to have american auctions and offer to clean shoes - another bad description.

slinkyunicorn I have exactly the same issues with tack cleaning accidentally polished the inside of my boots and gaiters and my white saddlecloths have never recovered and my white breeches only last a handful of occasions as they get a brown seat

I haven't been able to ride as it is raining so much but should clear up by 8 tonight so will ride them all then.

Enjoy your tack cleaning f_s_ I have the entire of Fri reserved for my weekly cleaning!

But I have white saddlecloths to scrub clean today and have made choc shortbreads!

Oooo - scrubbing saddlecloths!!

I just shove mine in the washing machine with a large scoop of vanish and washing powder and cross my fingers......

The chocolate shortbread sounds like a far better way to spend your time!!!

Have had to call mctim(money) our boy has gone back to looking like cold backed again, but also looked like he was having muscle spasms earlier, so she's out on tuesday morning.
This will make you giggle, phone rang about 10 mins ago and it was my nephew asking if I was coming down to lock up the shop

absolutely forgot what day of the week it was as usually have today off

Everyone has just given up trying to stop me

- as far as the kids are concerned I am the worlds coolest aunt as I take them shopping and buy them stuff and get them to buy stuff their mothers wouldn't!! They also know there is pretty much nothing they can say or do that will shock me - if I haven't done one of my friends probably has!!

The best recently was my eldest neices 18th - all adults were banned - except me as i was the only one deemed cool enough to be alowed into the club with them!!!
