Well its a bright and breezy day here today - hopefully the rain has gone now as I am bored of it!!

Have another busy day at work - talk about wanting their money's worth......and my manager is back from his 2 week holiday today so will be driving us all mad....

Well I'm up! Just getting up the umph to troll off to the yard. Riding with Friend today, which as our horses haven't been out together for seven or so weeks should be a hoot

We'll be going round the fields as the Dizzy one doesn't have shoes on at the moment and she gets ouchy on the stones

Morning
I was up at 7 , on the yard for 8 , home for 9

I managed to turn out 4 , bring in 5 and muck out 5 in an hour
Now I am at a loose end.

Have two to ride later and need to lunge the coblet - exciting times!

Set alarm for 6 to get up for a swim. Alarm went off, rolled over and had another hour in bed!! Nearly overslept and was luckily woken by hubby ringing.
Managed to pack my suitcase by sittng my large arse on it it to close it and am now in the office counting down the hours til i get on the train home!
 
Hello its my birthday today- the first without my cob so whilst i am happy as my lovely mummy sent me gorgeus flowers i am a bit sad as i havnt had any horse hugs today xx

Over slept this morning due to my dog having another tummy bloat attack, spent hours rubbing her tummy to relieve the pain.
Got up to pony and she had decided to leave her paddock again in the night, so Hp had moved her to another one.
Can't believe in a matter of days the amount of weight she has put on. Hopefully she will still be in it later when I check otherwise prison for her

Afternoon ALL!!

Hope you mornings have gone well so far!

Had a great lesson last night on Muppet (the ex eventer) he was full of beans, but managed to control him, and we done lots of walk to canter transitions etc, was so chuffed! My instructor said it looked very controlled!! Oh how I laughed

Anyway, not much else planned!

OH!!! Good news too... For anyone who knows that my "horsey Fund" has some what withered away (mainly because we HAD to take pay cuts at work ) After talking to yard, I am now one of their substitute teachers, and they will call on me as and when they need an extra instructor!! So happy about it!! Got my first 1/2 day this Saturday!!

Anyway, have a good afternoon, and speak soon!!!

Rode the Dizz this morning. We went out round the hills and she was pretty good. Lead half way, but then got to the top of one very open field and the wind and rain whipped across and she did a pretty spirited sideways dance, so I got Friend on Big Cob to go in front

. Took her along the drive and to the menage area, then life got interesting! Nappy, spinny, backing up, head up, stressed out. We argued for a few minutes and then I gave up, dropped the reins and left her to sort herself out (was a tad nervy due to being on the top of the hill with the geldings poncing about on the other side of the hedge). Anyhoo, she was a lot better, chilled out a lot, we even managed a few trots without disappearing into the ether

. I need to go back to spending time riding her on her own so's she learns to trust me under saddle as well as on the ground.

Had her in a Myler snaffle, which she seemed okay in yesterday, but today she was setting her entire neck against the bit/me.

Ah well. Guess it will all come with time

Good for you for getting back on her though!! She is bound to test you a bit - i mean she has been on holiday for a couple of months so needs to get back into the work groove!! I find with Nixon after 3/4 days of work he settles down into a pattern of good most days and then the odd tantrum

I have to say, I didn't feel as secure as I normally do! I think that it's due to lack of use of m'bits and she's broadened out a bit, feels different. I'm pleased I didn't part company (thanks to Dizz being kind, one serious sideways jump and I think I would have been off!
