well, i've just slurped the last of my cuppa, and am getting the papers together to go and see the solicitor to sign everything for our house selling/purchase as we're meant to be exchanging tomorrow/friday.

i hardly slept last night, with worry. my buyers keep hinting very heavily that they could pull out any minute, and that they're going to try and get money off.

my eldest is meant to start school tomorrow, and i don't know if it will be in cambridgeshire or lincolnshire... i wish the buyers would just hurry up and exchange so i can set his poor mind at rest. and also know what hospital i'm having my baby in, in a couple of weeks!

grrrr..... housebuying/selling is soooooooooo stressful! especially when 9months pregnant.

farrier is coming today to trim Raff's barefeet. he's had no shoes for 6 weeks now and they have started to crack at the bottom, but the farrier warned me it'd happen. i've been slopping on the rock hard stuff by naff (as he also had thrush) which seems to be like magic juice!

hope everyone has a fab day.... fingers crossed my solicitor manages to kick the buyer's solicitor into action today...

Morning! I woke up at 5.45 and couldn't sleep so came downstairs and led on the sofa watching House Season 4. Managed to doze a bit.

Going to drive the box up to the yard today to help getting used to driving it! Will probably load Genie and give her a carrot in there as well. I think I'm hacking out with a friend tonight (just a plod) which will be nice. Also need to go shopping for essentials for the box, any suggestions?

clipcloppop - I hope they get their asses in gear! Big hugs. What happened with the electricals or plumbing or gas? Whichever they said needed doing when it doesn't!
 
Am having the mother of all crap mornings and I'd quite like to go back to bed and stay there

I'm going to ride my donkey in a bit and then got to go teach/ ride my clients horse fun fun

Darcy/F_S - farrier shouted cos i told him what the vet had suggested to do with horseys feet (the angles of the feet are way out).

Told me that my 'effin' (insert proper expletive) horse didn't have an 'effin' pair of feet at the front and there was pretty much nothing he could do to fix that

Took the front shoes off - trimmed them - though not sure angle is actually any better. Then refused to trim hinds cos 'he didn't think it was worth it'

Needless to say I think I might need a new farrier (though he had calmed down at the end of it.....)
 
Get a new farrier, or tell him to speak to your vet!!

He shouldn't be shouting and swearing at you, or refusing to carry out the vet's instructions, that's awful!!

Don't worry about it, I would just keep looking for another farrier, then you can tell him to f*** off and see how he likes it!!!

fihunt - I would go for a water container,mounting block, seperate grooming kit, first aid box (horse and human), plastic cups(that can do hot and cold) and a corkscrew/bottle opener!!

i had abit of a ly in today(8.30am) due to back tummy cramps and back ache

then had to drive back from OH house and feed, clean and water horses.

then had my brekkie and took more pain relief.

then went for a nice long hack which due to horse walking like mad and wanting to trot most of way back didnt actually take that long

jumped a few logs whilst out and had a canter

which cheered me up.

then put her rug on when she got home due to it looking like rain on the way, and feed and watered and cleaned horses out again.

hi guys hope all is well. i have a busy afternoon as just headinh to get feeding then need to re muck out the stables. also need to finish clipping my boy as he was a sh*t yesterday so left him to stew in the end. need to either lunge or ride him then get others in and go to work at 6pm feel exhausted thinking about it
 
cloudy here but dry...at the moment!!!

im trying to decide whether to purchase some magnetics boots for archie, found some by hoofit?? for £ 30 or some from bioflow for £50 what do you guys think?
 
Phew what a morning I have had. Had to take lil pony to Equine clinic for xrays of his feet, due to the laminitis. Couldnt sleep all night, dreading it, tossing and turning.

Anyway Oliver was a little star in every way, and vet said X rays have revealed nothing too sinister Thank God!! and the future now rests with serious management, and the help of my ever trusty farrier.

Couldn't find them anywhere, calling and calling like mad!! Daughter and I ran round 16 acres, a public footpath, and a wood, screeching at the top of our voices!!! Worst thing was, daughter saw a lorry at the top of our road acting a bit odd, so I had awful feeling they'd been taken!!!
