Phew - glad someone has finally started it - I felt pressurised to post Sweet Fa and then got scared!

Morning all - hope everyone is well!

Wasn't as cold last night and looks like it's going to rain - boo!! Going to do more groundwork today, getting Ted confident over poles again - bless him he just follows me everywhere which is good

I’m going to get my Mum, who’s really difficult to by for, a magazine subscription so I’ve just ordered Yours Magazine for her for a year, I think she’ll like that. She never spends money on things like that, only stuff she really needs.

So I’m half way there got 12 pessies, another 12 to go

Most difficult one being OH, any ideas??????

Hope you feel better soon ISHY

So apparently the phones have got slightly busy (more than one incoming a day!) and the price of heating oil has gone up - funny that!!! If anyones looking to order - don't this week, it's expensive

It's my first time in here, hope you don't mind me sneaking in

Have booked a day off to sort my garden and finish my housework, but only woke up about an hour ago
blush.gif

Got a lesson this afternoon, and can't wait...it's only my 5th with Max, so i'm really enjoying them
Time for a bacon and egg sarnie now

Have a good day everyone
laugh.gif

Morning one and all Whimper Whimper. Got up and took two paracetemol to muck out and turnout with then came home and went back to bed. Cat came and did her impression of a hot water bottle and sea urchin (kept making money in my armpit) but she is good comapny.

Got up now for Tea and Dunked Ginger Biscuits as I have a lesson at 2. I've waited bloomin ages for it too.

On a brighter note I have saved my two best strongest flu tablets just for my lesson.

Afternoon all (just) not been on much for a few days, work has been manic
mad.gif
. Back to normal I hope after a big day yesterday.
Skippy - I hate you
mad.gif
grin.gif
. Half your Christmas Shopping done already????? I wish I could be that organised
frown.gif
. I only know one pressie I'm going to get - for my mum and she's got a birthday in december as well so I still have to think of another. And my sister's first baby's due in November so I have to think of something for that as well, and as my OH is so awkward to buy for I have to get about 6 presents for him for my parents, sister and grandparents to give him as well as the ones from me. At least my sister does the same for my BiL, although maybe not this year! I'd better start shopping now.
crazy.gif

On the subject of my mum's pressie, would you be upset if your daughter got you a kitchen item for Christmas? We were watching Rick Stein the other night and he was cooking in a tagine and she said she'd like one so I made a mental note, but now I'm not sure if it's too domestic? She loves cooking. Please say it's ok or I'm back to no ideas at all!

Ooo annagain, not sure about that one. I'd not like something like that for christmas but it might be just up your mam's street, sorry I can't really help! I'm useless at pressies anyway, always end up getting things people dont really want! OH's family aren't good at it either though - instead of accepting things gratefully, they moan and say things like 'oh, I've already got one of those' etc. Makes things much much harder because if they don't like they'll tell you!

I haven't even started shopping yet, got no money due to this being my first xmas with my own horse so I'm totally skint. Luckily I give Mam money every month to put away for me so eventually I'll have some!

Be careful with pressy's. My OH does not have a sweet tooth and only likes Guinness.

When my family asked what he would like for Christmas one year I jokingly told my mum Baileys Irish cream and she should have known better but passed it on and he got two bottles and some licquors scrummy.

I thought I would tell them that this year he would like a couple of White Terrys Chocolate Oranges, an Albion Dressage saddle and a handmade Bridle

Sounds like a plan Flibble! Wish I'd thought of that one

grin.gif

That's why I buy extra stuff for my OH and give it my family to wrap up for him. He's got wise to it now and starts buying things he fancies a few months before Christmas and gives them to me to hand out! I think it spoils the surprise but he'd rather that than something he'd never want or use. Sometimes he's so practical and logical it drives me mad.
