Sweet FA.......Wednesday!!!!

Good gracious is that the time well it,s not good morning from me as i missed that. What have i done today well it started ok but then it got stupid silly busy mom just out of hostpital so went to see the injured one, then went to the ponies and sorted them out . My son out on that stupid motorbike again serves me right for buying it him i suppose. My son is proving to be very sensible on it though. My snoopy is now 26 days pregnant so should have her home soon i really miss her and cannot wait. SS have got the bikini washed and ready. hehehe

Went to the yard. Paid rent (ouch). Paid for farrier (more ouch). Mucked out two stables as Friend is on a long shift today. Fed various neds. Checked on others.

Little Lad is still 'off' behind, so vet on Friday.

Dizz was sweated up, tucked up and stressed to high heaven

Hubby hosed her leg (and quite a lot of himself) for half an hour. I tried her in a pen next to the field - buck, rear, run round and round in circles. Rang vet. Feed with two Bute, then turn back out into the field as she'll stress it less out there! She cantered over quite happily. Knee still like a football, but doesn't look particularly lame, more a bit awkward due to the swelling.

Well have fed and poo picked the neds - moved the 37 year old to a paddock in the same field as the BGL - BGL then had to show off and throw his best stallion moves round his paddock to remind everyone that he is the boss!! The 37 year old actually joined in and had a little canter - not to stiff!!

So, today has been lovely. P_P rode Kodak, and he was a star!! Much more settled today, but we did bring the mini in with him, and he seems to like him!!

In the meantime I have started to look for a 16 1/2 inch saddle, they are like rocking horse p**, everywhere there are 17" and 16" but no second hand 16 1/2 " ones!!!

I bought mine on line quite a wee while ago. I know you can buy them on the door on the day though, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Someone said that the site wasn't accepting her type of card, very odd, as they usually accept all debit/credit cards!!

Yes, there are some on there but mostly synthetic, or wide/x wide. Poor pony is just normal!!!

Pony is sort of medium on withers, towards wide on shoulders.. its a bit odd to fit to him. And some are over what we can afford. Only option I can think of is a leather treeless saddle, does anyone have an experience with them?

Evening all,

Just got in from work. Had a great lesson on Charlie whilst I was there. For the first time since I started having lessons on the silly beast I was allowed to TROT and CANTER, usually we just stick to walk as we are so shockingly bad

Lesson started of with J shouting at me a lot, telling me that I was riding like wet lettuce and lots more

Charlie refused to bring his head down and went round like a Giraffe

After a little whilst I said to J 'if I throw everything you have been teaching me out of the window I can get him to go nicely (less giraffe like

)'. Then had a bit of a panic as I thought the beast might show me up and make me look like a complete numpty but with a bit of bullying he started to soften. We could then work from that and J changed her way of teaching to suit my approach more. By the end of the lesson I had managed to Walk, trot and canter with his nose on the floor and he became much more consistent in his way of going.

I was so chuffed with him at the end but bloody knackered, the lesson was only suppose to be 30 mins but we were at it for an hour

Got to do the same with him a few more times before the lesson next week so hopefully we will be able to move on a step!
