It's my day off! Woohoooooo!

(Anybody able to tell I'm pleased about this?) Had a lovely lie-in, although not sure if it's sad that 8am is considered a lie-in....?

Off for a pamper in a minute, having my nails and hair done, then off to ride baby one come rain or shine. Dressage on Sunday and she's still not understanding cantering while on a circle, she's great out of a corner, but a circle she hates. Any suggestions?

Morning everyone, sorry I disappeared yesterday, got kicked off and couldn't get back on.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions on a rug yesterday, Belle is usually quite warm but she has a blanket clip so I think I'd better get her a heavyweight rug too, don't want her losing weight when the really bad weather hits either. I was a wimp last night and brought her in. I bring her in to feed, then put her back out, but she was happy as larry in her stable and she'd trotted over in the field so I think she's hungry. Though I spent all night worrying as last time I brought her in she had a fight with the horse next door, luckily there wasn't any evidence of a fight this morning.

Hope everyone is feeling better today, I noticed quite a few of you weren't feeling very good yesterday.

I have a job interview for a job to do with horses in sales and I can't wait! Very very nervous though as it's technically the next step up for me! Eeeeeeeek!

Went to put my boots on early this morning to feed horses and got a txt from Hp to say they'd all been done, what would I do without her I don't know

Had to go out and move my vehicle in shop car park as I'd just dumped it in the middle yesterday as not feeling good and ex moaned this morning that the milk lorry couldn't get in

Wish I'd never gone there, as now I have to work the dinner hour as they are short staffed, why is it that when one of the staff fall ill they can go home but if I fall ill which is very rare I have to work

I have been running around like the proverbial headless chicken!! I had to get Sweep in to have his hair cut and then get the car to the garage for a service - Max decided to help by escaping and getting in the car - couldn't understand why he wasn't going with his buddy

F_S_ yes I think she did enjoy her night in. The mud is getting quite bad so I think it's time for her to come in - prevent the mud fever before it has a chance to start methinks. Though now I need a hw rug, and a neck for her mw. I feel quilty having her hair clipped off but she sweats quite a bit when I ride, even if it's just for half an hour, but providing she is rugged I suppose she'll be fine. I'm such a worrier and a big softie!

I really wish I had kept Charlie in last night but I am suppose to be tying it in with my Boss keeping his horse in so they have company, problem is Charlie is fully clipped and Bosses horse isn't so he doesn't want his in yet

She looked fine when I was feeding them on Monday night and as she was trotting around causing trouble she suddenly started hopping. Had a good feel and poke around but couldn't see anything so I left her to it for the night. Yesterday she was still lame, no heat anywhere, no knocks or anything stuck in her hooves so it's a bit of a mystery really

I think it's her hoof rather then her leg so I'm going to have a good dig around later and maybe poultice it. If she's no better in a day or so I'll have to get the vet out yet again!!

Morning Guys. Sadly I cant make my name in the Newspapers. The Doc says I dont have Mad Ferrets Disease apparently she had never heard of it and felt that confirming a case just to get headlines in the papers wasnt such a good idea. Instead she decided to go with a Sinus infection which doesnt have the smae ring to it somehow!

Can I just say how lovely my horse is.

We have a stable routine now that he obviously loves and his response is to not make a mess of his bed not only that but all 17 hh of him munches his breakfast nicely and as I walk around him skipping out his bed he very patiently moves aside. I have gone from 45 minutes cleaning up after him to 15 and 5 of those is finding my favourite fork!!

afternoon everyon got new boy yesterday and eventually decieded to go into trailer. was very sweaty when i got him home he is such a little sweaty even although he is quite scared. just back in from uni so off to sort horses as got a pizza hut date with friend tonight so must run along

Well it looks like I'm not riding tonight either. It's pouring now. Though I've got the new neck bit for her turnout rug so can try that on instead. Quick night again tonight by the looks. Think I could do with it tbh, was up at 6am this morning (that's probably late for most of you but I'm so not used to it!) to give Mam a lift to work but she slept in and didn't realise until we arrived, so I could have had another hour in bed, oh well, meant I didn't have to rush at the yard. I feel really guilty not riding, I'm worried she might get stiff (and posted on here about it, most of you said she'd be fine as has daily turnout, I should listen I know) but it's just so miserable and the school will resemble a bog by now and she doesn't like to get her feet wet, dainty mare!

Idlp - you'll have to go back to chiro a few times to sort it out I imagine. I had about 6 treatments before mine was sorted and I go back every so often when I feel it starting again - once is normally enough then if I nip it in the bud. Mine is because the arch of one of my feet has dropped so my pelvis is lower on one side than the other which compacts my spine on one side while stretching it on the other side.
Are you sure you haven't got a ferret in your sinuses Flibble? They do like to snuggle in small dark places. Your boy sounds lovely. Mine is good as well and poos at the front of his stable, not in his bed
