Sweet FA...........Wednesday

Lol Slinks that's exactly it!

Now, I've recieved a leaflet through the door from a company that does stables . I asked for their catalogue earlier on in the year so I'm assuming they're just keeping me up to date. On this one "package," it has two stables, a stable-sized feed/ store room and a fairly big hay barn for £3690 including transport and the workers cost to put it up.

Is it me, or is that insanley "cheap," ?! I'm trying desperatley to find the package on their website but it's not there, so now hunting for the flippin' leaflet but I feel it may have been binned
frown.gif

Although I've already got their brochure I'm going to request them for one and hopefully the same leaflet will come through as their "latest," deal thingy. I was going to email/ phone but can't find the contact details anywhere either!

They've got another deal on there thats got 1 - 12x12, 1 - 16x14 loose box and a 12x8 tack room for £3500 but I want the hay barn

Well it's lunchtime, off to take Bo Peeps to get her hair cut, she hates it bless her. I love it as I know she's not on her own all afternoon and she gets fussed over. She just doesn't like the man who cuts her hair, loves his assistant and will do anything for him and looks at him with big adoring eyes

I should probably take Murphy for a bit of a groom soon , where he's got all that long hair running down his back legs (the word escapes me..) it gets really matted, especially in winter so I want to get it all trimmed right down but he won't let me

i have a sharer who rides at most 2 times a week and pays me £10 a ride. back along she was gona move to bristol with bf and take H on loan with her, but she has split with bf and now i think she's thinking of moving to taunton.
so i thought i'd ask her if she wanted to loan H from here, so she would have free livery, me to feed etc when she can't and free hay and hard feed
smile.gif
.
but she would have to pay for vet bills, insurance, dentist and shoeing etc. does this sound like a good deal or should i make her pay for feed
confused.gif

would be good for me because i wouldnt have his bills, he would still be here so i can keep an eye on him, and company for C and me while we ride etc.

what do you guys think?
tongue.gif

Yes!
grin.gif
Was going to put that but thought I'd got myself confused. I usually just call it his trousers
grin.gif

How much does it roughly cost for you to get Sweep done if you don't mind me asking
smile.gif

Eeek
crazy.gif
Just heard that LJ's head is infected and oozing puss
a015.gif
She had another trip to Hospital this morning, no wonder it was so swollen and painful
frown.gif

well i already kind of asked her she said we will have a chat when she's next here(friday) talk about what's involved as she's not loaned before, plus i think it would be beneficial as she's a novice i would say with horse care side
smile.gif

just wondered if it sounded like a good deal, i know hacking ain't brill, but was gona go out on hills every 2 weeks weather permitting, and we now have an arena and field to canter in nearby
grin.gif
grin.gif
which is so great.

have been to field but not tried arena yet
smile.gif
was gona go this week but weather is so horrid

HC - o poor LJ!
frown.gif
I hope they have got her sorted out now and she just gets better. Take her chocolate and comics from all of us!
smile.gif
Mind you as she is a kidlet she probably wants a mobile phone or a laptop............
wink.gif

DL - Sweep all over short back and sides (and it is all over!! hehe
d015.gif
) costs £30. He spends all day at the dog hotel - he loves the lady who runs it!
smile.gif
- and comes home smelling like a big girls blouse, gets laughed at by Max and his mates and promptly climbs the muck heap and jumps in the brook!!

Stinkiness soon restored!!

Ungrateful little g*t......

Lol , wouldnt put that past Murphy either!

Anywho am off to take some head ache tablets and shoot off down the yard. I will take a photo of the state I just know that D will be in
frown.gif
Anyone feel free to rival it!
tongue.gif

See you later!

H_C that's terrible, hope LJ's on the mend soon.

My doggy is very straggly at the minute so I'm very grateful she's gone to groomers, even though she isnt. She just gets a bath and her hair all poofed (she's a bichon frise). Didn't have time to go see Belle a lunchtime, but OH has said as we'll be near when we pick Bo up, we can nip straight there and he'll catch and feed etc while I sit in the car at the end of the drive as doggies aren't allowed on the yard anymore. Don't know if I'll manage to stay in the car though, think I'll have to have my nightly hug

Well I have been out and fed the neds!!

The BGL is doing handstands in his paddock!!

Timed it perfectly as it is persisting down again now.
mad.gif
The good news is I feel 10 times better now than I did this morning
cool.gif
- the headache has almost gone now and the bits that hurt are hurting a little bit less.
smile.gif

The other good news is that I am on holiday next week any way so will be well enough to ride the neds everyday!!
smile.gif
I won't tell them though - I'll keep that as a big surprise for them....

Just back from the vet and it's good news so thanks for any vibes. Vet is happy with what he's seen and doesn't want to see us again unless he deteriorates. Has said we can carry on hacking and doing a bit of schooling but not to worry about getting him on the bit too much at the moment as he's more comfortable going long and low. Have decided to just hack for the winter though and see how we go, I hate schooling in the dark and wind and rain and have always seen it as a necessary chore so happy to have a get out clause! To top it off the boys have come up off the hay fields so no more traipsing half a mile down and back up a slippery, muddy steep hill, just have walk 20m from the yard to the gate now. All I need is sister's baby to arrive safely and life will be perfect. Still no progress on that front, the drugs seem to have given her terrible backache but haven't set anything else off yet.

Evening everyone!!

What a day!!! It all started so well, then rapidly went downhill!!

Mainly because I forgot the farrier was coming, so it was a bit of a rush to get them all sorted. Then it took ages, was freezing, and P_P was fed up because Kodak was fidgeting ( although he was brilliant for the farrier) !!
crazy.gif

Anyway, saddler didn't ring me back!! Lots of
mad.gif
faces pulled at that one, and now I won't be able to get hold of him until the morning!!!
blush.gif

So, glad you are feeling a bit better Slinky, just take it easy for a bit longer!!

Blimey f_s - what a day!!
blush.gif
How annoying about the saddler - you aren't having much luck with them at the moment.
frown.gif

It has gone really cold over here and its raining again so its all really grey and feels like winter. Shame because it was beautiful first thing....

Who would like a cuppa?
tongue.gif
off the alcohol for a bit longer.........
wink.gif
grin.gif

Thanks Slinky, there were times when I thought I'd never sit on him again so even if he only hacks for the rest of his days I'm so happy.

Off to find the cheapest place for cozequin now - vet reccommended it for Arch but it's expensive apparently.
