Dry and galeforce winds here! Fizz thinks it is very exciting and spent most of her first 15 minutes out this morning charging around her paddock snorting at nothing. Can't WAIT to ride this evening if this wind keeps up!

i've dragged kerilli into helping/being there/stopping my floods of tears/picking me up etc etc...

i'm actually quite looking forward to it... if only the gales would go away... gulp! keep your fingers crossed for me!

It's been awful here all night, I've been awake since 3am because of the heavy rain, and when we arrived at yard this morning it was flooded! There's a channel runs past the front of our stables into the drain but the drain was blocked this morning so the water had backed up and looked to be under her stable. Luckily we have rubber matting and it just didn't go over the top but if we didn't have the matting it would have been all in her stable and bedding.

So YO is this morning digging out the drain! I kept Belle in thinking it'd be raining all day but it's dry now, though the fields are flooded so it's probably best she's in seeing as she gets mud fever.

Hope it's better weather wherever you all are!

I have officially decided to put Belle out at lunchtime. Then she's only been in half a day and if it rains again this afternoon she'll only be out half a day and shouldn't get wet.

Got to ride my bosses horse later which could be interesting as he hasn't been ridden for nearly 3 weeks, if he behaves anything like he did in the field yesterday I may need a parachute

LJ's head has finally started to improve so I am taking her to buy a new riding hat tonight, then hopefully she will be back on board Millie at the weekend

Rain in the wind but nothing major at the moment. Will check on the state of the river that runs across the bottom of a couple of our fields. It flooded after all the last month after all that rain we had then but drains quickly luckily.

Have put tonights dinner in the oven. Doing a nice big stew and slow cooking it all day so just have to put the dumplings in .

Same here, couldn't open the door out from the car park this morning as the wind blowing it shut was so strong - it took 2 of us to do it!
Good luck Clips on getting on Raff - hope he behaves!
Foot is still sore, b****y tyre.
Just had text saying horses have to come in from this weekend onwards, bang go my lie-ins until April and welcome Victor Meldrew horse for 4 months, he's grumpy as hell until he has his morning roll.
