My friend called me yesterday, after checking on my 20 yo gelding telling me that he had a lump;
She said that it is under his chin, near where it joins onto his neck. She said it is a soft golf ball shape. She said that you cannot really see it, but you can feel it.
It is not hurting him or bothering him in any way.
Other people down the yard have looked at it, and they think it could be swollen glands.
He is fine in himself, still eating and drinking, and sound in every way, still riding lovely.
He has recently been turned out on summer grazing 24/7.
Do you know what this could be? Can horses get swollen glands? Thanks.
