Hiya, have noticed my guy seemed to be slightly wheezy since we've picked up faster work in the last couple weeks (we were sticking to walk for the two months prior). He's a Welsh D, no previous issues known but I've only had him and known him since October last year. He passed a 5 stage vetting in May last year with nothing picked up. He is fat! I am trying to get his weight down but it's difficult with the fact he shares a field (doesn't cope alone) and we're only just picking up the faster work. I decided to try popping him on Synovium Airplus liquid after reading great reviews on how it helped others with respiratory issues. He has been on it a week now, just 30mls once a day, and today he has had a big coughing fit about 5-10 minutes into our ride. He snorted a couple times after and then no more coughing. Did walk trot and canter work with no further coughing. Still sounding a bit wheezy after faster work (recovers quickly). Any ideas on what to do? Should I keep him on the synovium? Is it just doing its job and loosening stuff off and that's what's causing him to cough now? Or should I scrap it? Feeling so confused. Only dealing I've had with respiratory issues before is wheny last girl ended up with terrible breathing on boxrest and was given ventipulmin, but he's nowhere near that level
