Tomorrow I will be doing the dreaded spring clean. Just wondered if anyone had some interesting ideas for hanging things up, storing clean rugs shelving units etc. We have rug and saddle racks etc but could use some storage and shelving ideas. Also storing LOTS of tack so it is clean and supple but accessible.

Thanks xx

Ditto the Bentley rug storage bags, they're great and come in lots of different colours, I have a pink one for indoor rugs and a purple one for outdoor rugs!! x

Last time I did mine, I found a big plastic supplement tub to keep my first aid/vet stuff in, an empty field lick box with a lid for my grooming stuff & a metal box with a lid (old filing box) for my bottles of tack spray, fly spray etc. I find it far better to have things in boxes on shelves cos it looks neater & then you only have to wipe down the boxes rather than the individ things.

I also have 2 huge bench garden storage things for my spare saddle cloths, exercise sheets etc.

I have two, one for light weight turnouts, one for coolers, travel rugs and travel boots etc

I store my heavy weights (during summer) in bags you can attach hoover nosel to which shrinks them down and then store them all in a metal feed/corn bin.

I could get two turnouts and a stable in one of the above!

A couple of plastic sets of drawers are really useful - I keep all my grooming kit, first aid stuff that is in regular use, gloves etc in some and it is so much easier than getting stuff out of boxes all the time. (I'm too lazy to put stuff back properly otherwise - but even I can open a drawer and chuck stuff in it

Mine fit under my saddle racks perfectly.

I use to use the bags which you put your stuff in and then seal it and vaccum all theair out think they are by JML, get them everywhere.

All my winter rugs after being washed were kept in them until i needed them again the next winter!
