I was not looking to buy anther horse however spotted a coloured cob that just needed to come and live with me
, I have taken a chance buying her as she came with no history at all.
She was bought from the sales 2 weeks ago and put up for sale within days without the new owner knowing anything about her apart from what the seller told her. Apparently she had not been ridden for 18 months and had a foal taken off her within days of going to auction, supposed to be ride and drive and safe ploddy type.
I will be honest it was an impulse buy as I felt sorry for her, but so far she seems very quiet. She has been put in the bottom field in quarateen as I dont know what bugs she may have. She is on day 3 of a 5 day wormer, and vet is coming next monday to start her vacinations and check her age.
She was sold as an 8 year old but something tells me she is younger as her teeth look quite babyish to me, equine dentist is also booked to come and check her teeth in two weeks time just to check she has no problems.
I did ride her when I first saw her and she seemed very quiet and was exellent in traffic, and she has not turned into a monster whilst with me so far. She has settled in really well, and has been happy to let me catch, tie up and groom so I could get all the matts out of her mane and tail. She has not gone silly when other horses have been ridden past her field on the bridleway, she is a bit on the lean side but nothing that god grass wont put right and I suppose the foal would of taken it out of her.
Just hoping she works out well for me, apart from worming, dentist and vet she was a cheapy I took a chance on. Thanks for reading just needed to get it out as my family are not horsey at all, and us horsey folks need reasurance of other horsey folks now and again.
