Taking the boyfriend riding

I am taking my boyfriend riding he sat on my horse for the first time in his life the other day and now he is desprate to go out riding so we will be doing rides on the weekend but im a bit worried if he falls off because he is desprate to trot... any one else had this experience ?

I took my OH riding for the first time in Australia, his first canter was in a lake that has sting-rays in it!! Men seem to get the knack of trot quite quickly (I think it's to protect their "bits" from the bouncing around so they learn pretty quickly!! lol).

That might be why he wants to leanr thinking about ive got to put him on a arab x welsh even though she's 27 she's still lively but its my safest one. hope it all goes ok will post some photos :)

My OH told me the first time we went he couldnt wait to jump some ditches and hedges I laughed but he was convinced he would be able to get on and just be able to ride - then he tried to trot!!!!!!!!! He was in agony and now will only walk IF I can ever convince him to get on at all after that.

That is basically what mine was and subsequently is like. he says he's going to try again this summer though so we shall see....
 
Me and my partner went on a 3 hr hack I'n Spain up
In the mountains and down dry river beds etc
He's only rode once I'n his life and that was about 3 yrs ago
When we went out he rode the horse on his own no help walked trotted and cantered
I was impressed
