If anyone was to think less of you for doing this, they must also think less of me also .

I made the decision to have shane our GSD put to sleep a few months back . He was in pain, he was old and just didn't have the spark in his eye any more .

I said I would never be able to find the strength to take my own dog and have him put to sleep, but I did and I know I did the right thing for him .

I'm sure if Talisker could talk he would thank you xx

Thanks Col - and Booboos - people are being so very supportive, it is lovely of you to take the time to write such nice things.

I was talking to a friend today and said that quite a few times this weekend I have doubted myself, and wished that I hadnt made the decision to have Talisker PTS - then every time, a second later I know I had that thought for me, because I so want to have him back, not for Tal. When I was looking for something in my handbag today I found the notes I had made when the vet called me, and re-reading those made it absolutely clear to me that it was the right thing for Talisker. He was such a special dog
