So I had these visions that there would be tonnes of Collies and GSDs flying around the agility and me & my little JRT would be the special needs of the class but got there to see a huge variety of breeds mainly labs though.

We started with the behaviour class and Ted outdid himself - every command he was on the case - i was very releived we had practised the command down to lay the last few days cause there was loads of that involved - and he desperately wanted to please me which i dont know about anyone else it makes me wanna cry sometimes seeing his sheer desperation to do what i want him to do just for that tiny treat and few seconds of praise (im sure its normal but i am total dog newbie).

So onto the agility and he was incredible flying over everything - we still havent mastered left and right whilst ahead of me but he knows wait very well so when he seemed lost i was saying wait to catch him up much to the horror of the trainer who tells me i need to be loads faster to tell him and damn well keep up! It was our first try of weaving at speed which was hit and miss but im sure given time will improve.

So at the end we had a chat with the trainer who tells me Ted is rather incredible at this agility malarky which i already knew but that i have try much harder to 1)be faster 2) be consistent with commands 3) not say his name b4 command 4) teach him away left and away right - so A* for Ted and a D- for me plus lots of homework! Lots of fun though and looking forward to next week already!

Thanks for reading my ramblings :) Have to put it all on here as nobody I know has a dog so they really dont want to hear my waffle! xx

You have to run hell for leather with little people!! Mouse knackers me out :p Stanley on the other had is 2 or 3 times the size and much steadier to run although the big dope spends more time clowing about in front of everyone!! He tends to flick the weave poles across the field too instead of going around them.

B's yer man, he goes and completes the field by himself without being asked (apart from the see-saw) occasionally looking back at me going 'which one, this one? LOOK AT MEEE!' as I double over laughing.
Shows a complete lack of control on my part but it's bloody funny.
