Hi all,
We had the dentist out today to the farm. My boys teeth are fine...i wasnt worried the rate he gets through turnips/swedes! However, the YO's old mare (30) he shares a field with had one tooth fall out and he didnt want to do much else with fear of loosening them all. She has been quidding lately hence the dentist coming out. She looks v well for her age and is happy and healthy in every other way. Eats grass fine, dentist said she is fine with anything upto 3inches in length. The hay she is on at presnt is chopped short so generally she is ok with that.
Any suggestions of a hay replacer incase she struggles more or we end up running out of hay (they tend to come in unless it is warm and dry) and for future winters.
Thanks in advance for advice.
