If she's wanting to do showing and dressage (like you say) then I don't see why everyone is focusing on "but I don't think it can jump".

The grey looks a lot more steady, in fact he reminds me very much of a lovely old grey arab at my old riding school.

My last horse (who I did BSJA and PC area teams) used to gallop at fences, as thats what his last owner though t was what was su[pposed to happen. Haning onto his mouth didn't help, sticking lots of poles on the ground for him to step on and get his legs tangled up, making him more stressed and confused didn't help. Instead (as odd as it sounds) I found working on bigger grids, and sitting really dee in the sadle, with a soft squeezy rein, not a hard rigid one they can fight against, made him in one summer a complete different horse (took his price from £1000-£8500). - Just a mini tuppence worth =)
