He's always got bit of a manky tail much of the time over the years. Recently it worsened as he was out 24/7 as a companion to a bigger horse, on too much grass really and impossible to keep fenced in or with a muzzle on (when we could find where he's last removed it)
Found new more suitable companion for the winter and brought pony home.
He's currently in during the day from about 7.45 and I put him out as its getting dark. Either stabled with soaked hay or in a woodchip turnout paddock then out in the field muzzled.
He's already lost weight and is looking and moving better but the scouring is still a problem) This morning I got him in and he's covered all down his back legs and tail. I have some healthy tummy charcoal but of course any supplement involves feeding him which I'm hesitant to do!- he could have a hand full of fast fibre or similar if beneficial.
Idea's? suggestions? Its also a nightmare to get out of his tail and sticks to his skin.
