Talk about stereotyping
Spent 3 days at a horse camp over the weekend ring a lovely little rising 5 mare.
Whilst leaning on fence watching a jumping lesson a couple of ladies started chatting.
Conversation went like this.....
Lady "are you just here as support team?"
Me "No, I was jumping in the session before this one"
Lady "Were you riding the coloured horse?"
Me "yes"
Lady "Not for sale is she?"
Me "not a chance"
Lady "You ride her really beautifullly. Hope you dont mind me asking, you're not gay are you?"
Yes I'm male, yes I can ride a decent level of flatwork, yes I prefer to use technique rather than brute strength when I ride
NO THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME GAY!!!!!!!!
Do have to admit though, SJ instructor commented that mare works in a very pretty way and that I ride her nicely but I need to find some agression in her for jumping.
Ho Hum, perhaps I should switch disciplines
