We had a shocking show yesterday (I think Rew was over tired from a long day on Friday), today we have been lurcher racing for the first time and his tiny brain is hurting. He has retired to our bed and will remain under the duvet for a few hours yet.
Gorgeous pics!Definitely a tiny brain, in a good way (sometimes)!
No decision on literally what comes next!
Lovely photographer at the racing says these can be used so long as she is credited, The Pawtrait Lens.

Gorgeous pics!
I’m hoping for a border pap x whippet next but not for a while.. and pref slightly less whippet % than I currently have![]()
The only one I'm aware of in the UK is Donna (under Donna Maria on FB) but not sure if she health tests and she appears to breed a lot. Sonia Snell seems like she breeds nice BPs (although I did see a vid of one that appears like it might have ETS.. )A border pap x whippet (esp a short haired version) would come high on my list. Please can you let me know if there is a breeder you’d recommend?

If you are happy to import from the US there are more choices and it's pretty easy for you guys to import, jealous!
There is always a little win somewhere.....so nice oneYay, the inner couldn’t care less paid off, with what we now call personal wins.
Weaves all good - the rest of it complete twaddle! Pulling off jumps, no contacts, back jumps… but we got weaves!

There is always a little win somewhere.....so nice one. I'd like occasionally for them all to happen in the same class
am still waiting. I managed to catch the foot of a jump in training on Weds eve and crash heavily to the ground with Daz watching on rather confused. Unfortunately really wrenched my neck resulting in a trip to the physio. More expense

I was at the same show , wish I'd known you were there. Sounds like you had lots of positives. I believe the beginners jumping wasn't very beginner friendlyOne of those not great on paper days but a lovely day out none the less for the kids first agility show.
Both tiny terrors were eliminated in the jumping. They both did their weaves first timeand ran really nicely just took different jumps the wrong way when I called them back after running passed.
Ginny did a couple of jumps then said no in the agility so another elimination and she did the same in the triple A so we called it a day. Shes started scooting since we got home so think her glands are bothering her. It's not like her to say no.
Fen got his weaves and seesaw in the agility but another elimination for the wrong course after he went passed a jump then jumped over when I called him to me to correct it
He was then 2nd in the triple Ayes we got time faults because he went to check on dad after jump one
then faults of handling when I retrieved him and a refusal for his last A frame. He felt brilliant once he switched his brain on though. We do need to work on him telling me with his teeth that I'm running too slow though

To be fair, I was so nervous I dont think I'd have noticed anyoneI was at the same show , wish I'd known you were there. Sounds like you had lots of positives. I believe the beginners jumping wasn't very beginner friendlyThe advanced had more round the backs than poor Zig had seen in his life, he did well until about jump 14 then threw in the towel ! He then went round the up ramp of the A frame twice in the triple A, he's never done that before. Thankfully got his mojo back today with some nice courses. Hopefully see you at another show.
We had time faults yesterday, he is not a slow dog. I checked later and the time was for champ level under the new matrix! However, looking at results again back home the course time had changed and those of us who had time faults were all now in course time. So obviously a mistake but shows as several have suspected that the new matrix is going to be unachievable for a lot of dogs.I feel your pain about the round the backs.....there seem to be so many these days it's clary the in thing. We are not competing until Dogs in Need. However really not looking forward to it as wish I hadn't entered. I shouldn't say it but almost feel like time faults will be a given for us![]()
I hope referral vet either finds nothing or something easily treatable. These crazy GSDs have no sense of self preservation !I’m going to use this week’s KCI results to gauge where we are on the new matrix. It’ll be a wide spread of judges and course types, plus the predicted 24c is about where he will sometimes not be running at his fastest so it should be a good representation of the ‘steady clear’.
Large one is going to referral tomorrow, although you wouldn’t think there was anything wrong to look at her so I feel a bit of a fraud.Wind her up with a ball and have her running tight turns though and she is blink-and-you’ll-miss-it just not quite right behind. Poor referral vet has a LOT of videos. I’d like to rule out things like iliopsoas strain, world’s tiniest ANNPE etc. before throwing her back into her usual level of work.
