the best bridle thats like a elevator bridle

I have the Heritage comfort as a everyday bridle, does the job and my horse who is very sensitive over the poll. I got mine dirt cheap off E Bay new...around £45.00.

Back in the days when Tesco sold horse stuff they did one. I bought mine in clearance when they stopped doing bridles and it's remarkably good looking and resilient for the price . . . . .£11.75!

I have a heritage for everyday - great shaping/padding etc but just bear in mind that the actual quality of the leather is nowhere near as good as that of the higher priced bridles - but as its £70 and not £200+ I could live with it!

I might end up being really embarrassed about asking this, but what's an elevator bridle?

Basically just a type of comfort bridle - Elevator is one brand that makes them http://www.elevatorbridles.co.uk/ there are lots of copies. Other brands offer comfort bridles that are a different design.

I bought a Heritage bridle off EBay and at the same time won a Jeffries on Ebay too. I sold the Heritage one to another livery and the reins snapped mid gallop. Fortunately she was able to stop, god knows how. My Jeffries one is for hacks out when I need brakes (has a different bit on) and I use an Elevator one for schooling. The quality of the leather on the Elevator is great and that will be the difference in price. You do get what you pay for.

I had a Heritage with the comfort headpiece and thought it was really good value and looked a lot more expensive than it was, the only thing that let it down was the badge fell off the browband after a while.
