Hurrah! This is my last post on this subject, but I had to thank everyone who has been so supportive and behind me on my long campaign to have the barriers on our road bridge raised. The work was finished last week, and although they are not the full 1.8m originally recommended, they are now 1.4m with 600mm solid infill at the base, and are a huge improvement. I might take a picture for contrast when there is some daylight (that will be at the weekend then!), but the support, suggestions and encouragement I have received on here have made the whole thing possible. Thank you!

Sooty thats fantastic news, well done for persevering on this, it did look a bit like you were banging your head on a wall for a while.

Am proud of you!

This just proves that if one has a problem that if one makes the effort to do something constructive about it that it can be sorted out.

We get a number of posts about bridleway and road safety issues on this forum and it is nice to have someone that is actually prepared to do something about it rather than just complain, hope someone else does something about bit and then forgets all about it.
