The Chemist Interrogation

Went into a pharmacy for a bottle of benylin for horse, the usual questions whos it for, i said the horse she has a cough, they said we dont recommend it for animals, my answer was, but the vet does! they poped in a bag and i paid for it.:D
I have since moved and my pharmasist is very good, if i need any thing for neddie he will give it too me, no questions.:)

I always say that NHS Direct have recommended the medication and get no questions beyond that

A bit of paper with the name of the active ingredient scrawled on it (as opposed to brand name) adds a certain authenticity :)

Living in a very horsey village it's quite usual to hear the village pharmacist say "it is for *insert human condition*, isn't it?" when he knows perfectly well it's for horses. Covers him & also means if I need to go elsewhere another time I know what to say it's for! My chemists is also the only one I've ever known that sells a whole range of horse wormers :)

Our pharmacist resides in a steel container box next to the village surgery :D As well as all the usual human stuff, he carries loads of cattle and sheep medication, eartags, horse wormers, dog and cat food, toy tractors, and stuff for painting on your fences :D He is lovely, and is quite used to me driving in with the horsebox to buy all sorts of things, usually not for the humans at Rowreach Towers ;) Although last week I shot in for hairnets for me for a show :) I do like small rural communities :D

good tactic, I shall remember that on, although my chemist is pretty down with the horse people innit :D

I can top the lot of you..... Had to ask our chemist in a very busy shop for haeromoid cream ...said it was for my new horses capped hocks.....quite clearly did NOT believe me!!!!

I was quite lucky when I had horses as a teenager - the local pharmacist is also a veterinary pharmacist. The local equine practice always put up drugs through him - far cheaper than if they had sold them themselves. And any non prescription drugs are no prob either as he has a licence to dispense for animals.

I remember a few years ago I popped to the convienience store to buy some tin foil (friend and I where experimenting with highlighting our hair) the shop assistant got funny and asked what I wanted it for!
