Rode today. She was good. Felt a bit hoppish, but thought it was the ground. Friend yelled that she thought was lame. Daughter trotted her up. Lame on near hind

Couldn't see anything obvious.

Rang the vet. Box rest and vet will be out tomorrow at three. I'll be at work

But, poking about later and realized that her near hock is a bit puffy, not a lot, but a bit. Don't know whether to be happy, or even more worried!

Oh noooo not when everything was just starting to be normal again. At least she was good though. Hopefully it will just be a bump from the field and will go down soon.

How's the elbow? Are you allowed to be getting back on dizzy ginger neds yet?

typical .they lull you into a false state of security first then do something.it is hopefully a tweak from the field.both mine had puffy legs when the ground was rock hard now weve had all this rain they can slip easily.fingers crossed

Joe (my grey boy) was lame again tonight

He did 8 weeks box rest and a slow return to work for hind lameness that the vet never got to the bottom of, had a fit on the lunge last night and was lame again this evening.
I will wait a few days before getting the vet out to see if he just comes right again as NFU not settled the last bill yet
