Knobberpony has rubbed her bum bald and I'm suspecting pin worm.
I've fenced off anything she can rub herself on,washed the trough out with Jeyes fluid, washed her bum twice a day with wipes and dettol, covered it in vaseline, and poo pick daily.I'm going to worm her with Panacur 5 day as soon as I can get some.I was about to move her to another field and rest their current field for a few months with the sheep on it.
My questions are,how far into treatment with Panacur am I best to move her? I don't want to infect their new pasture, but don't want her to reinfect herself.
Will the frost kill any eggs shed onto the ground?
Her field mate is showing no signs of pin worm, they are not that friendly with each other and don't groom or get closer than a few feet.Should I treat him or wait and see? Both ponies were wormed with Equlvan duo about 3 wks ago,but obviously it either had no effect on the pin worms or she has caught them since worming.
Thanks for any advice.
