So all of you who haven't been riding during the snow-fest, how were the ponios this weekend?
I popped my 3yo on the lunge to see what sort of mood he was in. (He has been lunged in the snow a couple of times but that's about it.) Well, I'm glad I didn't hop straight on. Airs above the ground, kicking, bucking, farting... at one point he leapt through the air and tried to land in gallop, overestimated his own balance and fell flat on his face, got up, leapt through the air again and carried on as before!
So, after a bit of grass skiing and almost having my arms removed from the sockets I hopped on. Let's just say, you know the feeling you get on a horse that's never been sat on..?
Looking like a semi-re-backing is in order for my young man.
How have yours been?
