Today I got up to work early so I thought as it was a sunny day that I would give Charlie a quick bath (I keep my horses there) so he is ready to be clipped sometime this week. I should have known that given my ****py day yesterday that a simple, quick bath would NOT go to plan!

Dragged Charlie and Pixie in and tied them both on the yard, Charlie was acting a bit silly but I just ignored him and got on with it, half way through soaping him up the sky turns black and the heavens open So I speed up to try and stop beastie getting cold, beastie for some reason decides he is head shy so when I try to wash his neck he pulls back and breaks loose, grab him before he makes a dash for it and carry on washing him as he's walking in circles being a muppet

Pixie (AKA ***** for Brains!) then decides that if Charlie can pull back then so can she (and squished my bucket of water in the process!), cue me trying to sort two loose beasties out that are both now running rings around me. I decide to put SFB's in the stable while I finish Charlie off and she decides that Stables are not very nice places to be and charges around it kicking the walls as she goes and then stood and reared/struck out at the door while I found somewhere else to tie Charlie

Finally managed to get a shivering Charlie bathed (during which time the stable is taking quite a battering from SFB's  ) and stuck a couple of rugs on him in the hope of him drying off and warming up quickly, gave him a warm feed and shoved him in the other stable. SFB's then has a complete melt down because A. Charlie has a feed and she doesn't and B. He is to far away from her (about 20 ft!! ) as I'm trying to find a bucket, turn the hose off and get some feed, SFB's rears vertically and puts her leg over the stable door   :( Cue a moment of panic from me (and her!) while we get all 4 legs back on solid ground!

Eventually manage to get her a bucket of grub which I thought would settle her right down but Ohhh Noo, not today, more bashing, rearing and general obnoxiousness and I decide today is not the day to try and keep her in a stable so plan to go and get one of the other little Beasties in to keep Charlie company, tied SFB's back on the yard and she has forgotten how to tie up so I had more pulling back and more broken string!

Made a dash to catch Little beastie from the field and dragged him in and shoved SFB's back out with a few choice words thrown at her! During this whole fiasco it had absolutely chucked it down and the yard was covered in water! Left a shivering Charlie screaming in the stable (he obviuosly prefers the company of mares  ) while I headed into the house to start work, and yes I was Late, and Yes the Sun started shining as soon as I stepped through the door!!

I need to go and Hibernate, someone please wake me up when Friday is here!!

PS - I love them really!
