Trailer Trash has had a fab idea - we want to raise money for Help For Heroes and she has come up with the HHO BIG DOG WALK!!!

Basically TT's idea is that we metaphorically walk Lands End to John O'Groats, by each walking a set distance - say 10 miles. If we can all get sponsored to do this we could raise loads for Help For Heroes which is a really great cause

So, step one - who's up for it?

Well we can do it together, but TT had the idea of doing a long walk and I thought that sounded great as we have people and dogs all over the place on here! This way even if people can't travel they can still join in
smile.gif

I'd be up for company on my section!

TT - don't be modest, I just rambled on about wanting to 'do something' and then you had an actual idea

I could travel to Herefordshire/Gloucestershire/Worcestershire easily to do mine if anyone wanted to join in? Probably Oxfordshire at a push

The logistics are going to be SUCH fun arent they

TBH, I can do anywhere east england / east midlands, drove to Blenheim the other day so Oxfordshire is no problem either

Funny you should say that, but I was wondering about a venue like Blenheim Palace to get together in? Except not Blenheim cos the Duke is such a tighta*se

he would probably charge us for it...

What a fab idea

Do we have to walk 10 miles of the actual route or just walk 10 miles any old where? I think I am too far from most of you to join in a group walk

My friend is in training to do the Highland Way walk (95 miles) so she will definitely join me (and she has lots of dogs)

I think any old where, if people can meet and do it in groups fantastic but this way everyone can get involved even if they live way out somewhere!
smile.gif

I was thinking just 10 miles anywhere really? My comparison was people who row the Atlantic sitting on rowing machines in their gym
grin.gif
Of course somewhere picturesque would make good photos
grin.gif

I am definitely up for it now then
smile.gif
Have even started thinking of people to ask for sponsorship!

The Two Moors Way runs past here so I'll use that as a route
smile.gif

Shall we set a date - a Sunday would be best for me

I am going to be completely snowed under for the next week due to a work do - but after that will have much more time to plan etc.

How about a date around Remembrance Day?
