The latest hilarious Daily Mail article!

To be fair, it was the app that identified it as a giraffe, and some dodgy journalism that suggested otherwise.

Given that an app identified something I knew to be ragwort florets as beetroot earlier this year, I'm not entirely surprised 😀

If you don't know anything about horses, you .might get excited at the sight of an unusually coloured one.

There is actually a knabstrupper or knabby x gelding running on the the New forest 🙂 I'm in a couple of nf Facebook groups, will find a link to the post with him on.

Think it's the same horse as in the article.

Defo a gelding? I imagine they dont want him breeding with the newfies!

Yes he's a gelding; only approved (purebred graded NF) stallions are allowed to be depastured so far as I'm aware, although there has been some drama previously when some pony mares were covered by a jack donkey!! ( Not sure what happened to any but one of the offspring, who's been written about on a mule blog [http://mulography.co.uk/mule-tales-henrietta/], though.
I have seen some intentionally bred spotty NF X's for sale online before and they're actually lovely 😅

We have a NF X Appy! Can't see much of the NF though as he's over 15.2 now. Dad is Willoway Harry Potter, a bay but ours takes after his spotty mum.

Resurrected this thread for another brilliant article from the Daily Fail:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...escend-Cotswold-town-horse-fair-festival.html

I am only one photo in and they have already labelled (as they may change it if you look again) as 13hh-ish coloured cob as a 'small shire horse' - you have to laugh!

What isn't so funny is the photo of the yearling, complete with foaly looking tail, being driven by a child, and being held with it's chin on it's chest too; although I think this is more in protest at what's happening rather than the child cranking it in. Really poor, even from the Daily Fail. We should not be publicising such awful things!

Still described as a 'small shire horse' at the time I read it.

It's not really an article, just a collection of photos from AFP that the Daily Fail has decided to publish with some faily craptions.

The Currant Bun has got a smaller collection from the same AFP shoot, with almost identical craptions.
