Well i just carried out the milk test with Teazle that Tia told me all about (Thanks Tia). You mix a little of the mare's milk with distilled water and test it with pool strips to see what the levels of the hardness and pH are. Luckily we still have loads of test strips from last year as we have one of those above ground pools, as i'd completely forgot about it until the other day when Tia reminded me.
Teazle is below 100pm so she won't be foaling any time soon according to that (500ppm and over means that the mare will foal that night). But i will still sleep in the barn just in case. It will be very interesting to see if it works.
