Hasn't stopped here in the Yorkshire Dales for the last three hours - massive flakes. Mind you, the dogs did come in clean rather than plastered with mud for once so that's a bonus!

The photos were taken this morning, been snowing heavily again since 4pm so dreading what it will be like tomorrow. It was only due to a bit of shovelling and 2 burly men that I managed to get the car out today :(

PF :p Enjoy it:)

It has been raining none stop for 48 hours up until 10pm. I don't want a drop in temperature before the lakes in my paddocks have drained off otherwise we're going to be skating for months. Pain in the butt that will be.

It has been snowing but I doubt it will stay, too wet.

We've had snow here for 3 days now. Fed up of it already even though we're lucky in that last year it arrived in mid-November and didnt go until months later. Cant understand why people think its nice having snow and that we're "lucky". Its all very fun when you get a day off work because of it but try driving in it, trying to get to and from work and to the horses every day for a few MONTHS (as has been the case here for the past 2 winters!) - normal journeys take double time and its absolutely freezing outside. My work has just issued guidelines on their winter weather policy basically saying if we dont get to work then we dont get paid, and if we're late because of the snow we have to work extra to cover the time lost.

The ONLY thing I like about the snow is that the horses are nice and clean!

You must be north of me then - we haven't seen much in Inverurie. However I totally agree with your sentiments. Imitating the Ice Road Truckers on a daily basis isn't any fun. One of mine slipped really badly on ice last night (vet holding not me) and basically they have to now just stay where they are - out or in, its just too dangerous to lead them. Think its warming up soon though..... as long as we don't all get blown away on Thursday/Friday......
