A different vet came to see Ellie today and was very very thorough in her inspection of Ellie.
Basically, even if we managed to get weight on her she has other life threatening health issues that could even be made worse if she puts weight on.
After chatting with Ellies old owner this evening we have decided that while Ellie is happy and pain free (vets opinion as well as ours) we owe it to her to let her go sooner rather than later. I am going to be ringing the vets tomorrow to arrange to have Ellie pts in the next few days
