She is darned cute .... even cuter in real life.

By the way, yes the nail test was correct - it said she was going to have a filly.

I didn't get to use the milk tests though so I can't give you any feedback on them, although I have been assured by all the top breeders that these pool checks are what you want to use; and that they definitely do work.

Legacy is just right for her. Megan chose the name and I think it sums the foal up perfectly.

We've just had the most amazing storm here! Thunder and lightening and blasting wind and sheet rain. I hoped that Cloud wouldn't take her out in it - needn't have worried, Cloud's a clever girl and she kept her inside and covered her from any drips that might have blown in.

We are all very, very happy on this farm today; including Legacy and Cloud.

Golden is the only one who isn't - she has barely eaten today and has stood at the adjoining gate all day long calling to Cloud, but Cloud just will not take the foal over there. I guess she wants to keep Legacy away from her father, whom I might add is just as intrigued!

Thanks everyone for your lovely kind messages. I might not be spending quite so much time on here over the next little while....bet you can't guess why!
